Service Technician for Guillotine Shears - Across Jutland

About the job

As a service technician you are the outward-facing face and the customers' most important technical partner when Bystronics press brakes need servicing and repair. You are the problem solver who finds the fault, gets the machine up and running again, and provides the necessary service so that the customer's equipment runs optimally.

You typically work from your home base and drive directly from there to the day's tasks. At customers you cover a broad range of technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software-related problems. You also take responsibility for service inspections, renovation tasks, installations and moving of machines.

You will spend about 80% of your time with customers in Denmark, but as needed also handle tasks in the rest of Bystronic Scandinavias region. You should expect travel activity at a level of 20-80 overnight stays per year, this will vary depending on your residence. Tasks vary in size and complexity and can last from a few hours to several days.

Tasks are assigned via the service team's planner, with whom you maintain ongoing dialogue. Most tasks are scheduled well in advance, but there are also urgent tasks that require you to respond on short notice.

Although you work independently at customer sites, you are not alone. You have an experienced colleague in Denmark and three colleagues in Sweden to brainstorm with when a task requires more eyes on the problem.

You will receive thorough training, and as needed there will be courses at Bystronic's training department in Germany. At the same time you will have the opportunity to continually build more technical knowledge on top of your existing expertise.

So you can expect a daily life with plenty of freedom, responsibility and technical challenges.

About you

We imagine you are trained as a mechanic or have another relevant technical background. First and foremost you want to work with advanced machines, service and troubleshooting. You may be a recent graduate or have many years of experience. The most important is that you have a solid technical foundation, are curious to learn new things and can deliver good service on-site with customers.

We would like you to

• Have knowledge of mechanical systems as well as electrical and hydraulic controls
• Thrive in a day-to-day on the move and can keep home front running when the work requires overnight stays away
• Have the ability to retain overview and prioritize your tasks, even when something is urgent
• Trives with working independently
• Have good English skills in both written and spoken
• Have a driving license, category B
