Security assistant for psychiatric wards and somatic hospitals in the Capital Region

The role as security assistant

In the Capital Region we have chosen to have our own team of security assistants. The security assistants' task is to support safety and security in the psychiatric wards and somatic hospitals and to support security in relation to specific patients or environments.

The security assistants are anchored in our staffing center and are day-to-day present in the region's psychiatric wards and emergency departments as well as at Amager Hvidovre Hospital. We have established a good and solid team in Zealand and Bornholm.

Your daily life and your tasks

As a security assistant you must focus on security in relation to specific patients, while the healthcare professionals focus on treatment and care.

You should, for example

• perform security service tasks in the wards in a trustful and credible manner, so that staff, patients and visitors feel safe and secure.
• prevent and respond to tense situations.

You will be responsible for security across the entire center, both in the emergency department, closed ward and open ward. You will be part of the daily life in the ward, where you for example participate in morning meetings with the staff.

You will be equipped for the task

Our training program and professional introduction days include, among other things, courses and training in conflict management, de-escalation techniques and other security measures. The training is planned in the first 12 working days of your employment.

Salary and employment terms

Start date: January 1, 2027.

You will be hired for mixed shifts. The shifts are 12-hour shifts - 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00.

You will be employed on an individual contract corresponding to the collective agreement for Regional and School Officers entered into between FOA - Fag og Arbejde and the Regions’ Pay and Rates Board.

Your working hours are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for Social and Health Care personnel entered into between the Regions’ Pay and Rates Board and FOA.

The region is a 24/7 area, and you may be scheduled for shifts at other times as needed in accordance with the rules of the applicable working time agreement.
