About us

Botilbud Skivevej is a supported housing facility for adults with disabilities and cognitive functional impairment. We work from an acknowledging and respectful view of humanity, where the resident's wishes, dreams and resources are the starting point for everything we do.

Our pedagogical approach is based on neuropedagogy, KRAP (cognitive resources focused and acknowledging pedagogy) and Low arousal.

The house is located in the centre of Hobro city. Here are 18 apartments distributed over 2 departments.

About the position

We are looking for two care assistants who want to work with adult residents who need support in daily life.

You will become part of a workplace with high well-being, where we succeed together, and where you are involved and have influence on the pedagogy.

Your tasks will among other things be to

• support the residents to own mastery and that Skivevej is a good home
• support the residents in daily tasks, e.g. tidying, shopping and cooking. And to have an active life, with meaningful and interest-driven activities such as accompanying to riding and events outside the house
• contribute to documenting and evaluating pedagogical interventions
• help with personal care
• actively participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration and professional development

We are looking for you who

• can work in rotating times of the day, where your working hours will primarily be evenings and sleeping night shifts
• are keen to work with people with cognitive disabilities
• meet the residents with patience, empathy and respect
• can work independently and take initiative. And at the same time see colleagues' differences as a strength
• contribute positively to the work community

Experience from the specialized area is an advantage, but not a requirement — most important is your motivation and willingness to learn.

The position is as a rule 37 hours per week.

The working hours are primarily in the evenings and night hours, and you must be able to work on weekends and holidays.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment is on collectively bargained terms, where the salary is agreed with the negotiating organization.

It is desirable that you have a valid driver's license.

A criminal record check will be obtained, and the employment is contingent upon it being approved.

To be employed in Mariagerfjord Municipality you must have MitID.
