Social and Health Care Assistant for Herlevgårdscenter

Do you want to help create a safe and meaningful everyday life for our residents? At Herlevgårdscenter we are seeking an engaged Social and Health Care Assistant with start as soon as possible.

About us

Herlevgårdscenter is a nursing home for people with different needs, including residents with dementia and somatic illnesses. On the 1st floor we also have temporary beds and respite care. This provides a varied daily life with both shorter processes and longer-term relationships.

We base our approach on each individual’s life story, wishes and resources and work to ensure that everyone is met with respect, care and presence.

Your tasks

• Provide care, nursing and health-therapy tasks based on the individual resident’s needs.
• Observe and respond to changes in residents’ condition.
• Work with medication management, documentation and follow-up.
• Support residents’ resources and contribute to safety and structure.
• Collaborate with colleagues, relatives and other professionals to ensure coherent pathways.

We are looking for someone who

• Is trained as a Social and Health Care Assistant.
• Takes responsibility and works independently within your competence area.
• Has interest/knowledge of dementia, somatic care and residents on temporary stays.
• Meets residents and relatives with calm, empathy and respect.
• Contributes to a good working environment where we help each other and share our knowledge.

Experience from a nursing home or dementia care is an advantage, but the most important is your commitment and your desire to make a difference for the residents.

Practical information

The position is originally 37 hours per week, but there can be an agreement down to 32 hours per week. You should expect weekend shifts every 3 weeks. The shifts will be placed during daytime hours. Start as soon as possible or by agreement.

Salary and employment

Salary is determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the principles for new pay.
