Social and Health Care Assistant or Social and Health Helper for Day Shift – Strandgården Care Center

Strandgården Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and caring social and health care assistant/worker for day shift.

About Strandgården

Strandgården is a nursing home with 40 residents, spread over four cozy houses – two medical houses and two dementia houses. In each house there are 10 residents.

We work from a citizen-centered perspective and person-centered care, and collaboration, flexibility and multidisciplinary teamwork have high priority. We see the whole 24 hours as a shared responsibility, where day, evening and night shifts cooperate to create the best framework for the residents.

The position

• Primarily day shifts
• Permanent position
• 37 hours per week (or by agreement)
• Opportunity to work 4 out of 10 weekends.
• Starting 1 January 2027

Your main tasks

• to ensure high quality in care and support for the residents
• to work from person-centered care and our shared value base
• to contribute to the residents' quality of life, well-being and safety in daily life
• to perform personal care and practical tasks in collaboration with the residents
• to observe and document residents' condition and any changes
• to collaborate with residents, relatives, colleagues and multidisciplinary partners
• to contribute to a good working environment and a strong professional community

Professional competencies

• trained social and health care assistant or social and health care helper
• preferably experience with elderly care – also with dementia
• can work independently and maintain overview in a busy daily routine
• can work according to current quality standards and legislation
• can document in the CURA journal system or is willing to learn it
• IT at user level

• empathetic and respectful in interaction with residents and relatives
• responsible and collaborative
• clear, action-oriented and flexible
• a team player who contributes to a good working environment
• curious and open to professional development
