Admission requirements

• Having completed – or in progress – Grundforløb 2 (GF2) aimed at a social- and health-care education (continuation to the main course depends on a passed GF2)
• Valid residence and work permit for the entire education period

The education program

The education as a social- and health care assistant is a vocational education that alternates between school and apprenticeship. The program lasts 2 years, 9 months and 3 weeks. If you are already trained as a social- and health care helper, you will receive credit. We collaborate with SOSU H School at their addresses in Gladsaxe, Herlev, Brøndby and Copenhagen.

Who are we

Glostrup, a small municipality with 24,869 residents. We have three elder centers and a new Rehabilitation House . As well as home care and nursing that are under the same roof as the municipality's visitation. In Glostrup Municipality we work from the core task: Mastery and Development. Hiring process and salary

Working hours are 37 hours per week and you will receive salary during the entire education. We follow FOA’s collective agreement and conditions regarding trainee salary/adult trainee salary.

We hire social- and health care trainees on an ongoing basis and call candidates for interviews as we receive applications.

When employed we obtain references.

The salary as of 1 April 2025

Socio-health care trainee: 15,214.60 kr. (1st year) – 17,333.84 kr. (2nd and 3rd year)

Adult trainee: 25,247.75 kr.

You can apply for adult trainee salary if you are 25 years old before the start of the education and within the last 4 years have had at least 1 year of relevant employment with an average of 24 hours per week. Pay slips must therefore be sent with your application.

If you do not meet the above criteria you can ask the job center in your municipality if you meet the conditions for subsidy for adult apprentice wages. If approved, we can offer adult trainee wage (attach confirmation email from your job center).
