About the job

Do you want a job where your health professional expertise makes a real difference for people who need you? And are you motivated to use your professional skills in close collaboration with skilled colleagues across disciplines? Then you very well may be our new colleague!

At Lindebjerg Botilbud in Aarup we are seeking trained social and health care assistants for 30-37 hours per week. We are looking for employees for permanent positions as well as one employee for a maternity cover.

The working hours are distributed across day, evening and weekend shifts, including working every other weekend.

The positions commence on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible.

About us Lindebjerg Botilbud is a 24-hour residential facility, cf. the Danish Home Ownership Act §105 with support under the Social Service Act §85, for adults with physical and mental functional impairments. There are 64 leasehold units distributed in 5 smaller units, of which one unit is a psychiatric unit. Each unit is managed by an accompanying multidisciplinary staff team.

The citizens are primarily 18 years and older. Two places are approved for youths from the age of 16. The citizens have significant and lasting functional impairments of varying nature - including Down syndrome, psychiatric diagnoses, autism spectrum disorders, nonverbal communication, immobility, etc. There is a wide variation in the citizens’ functional levels, but common to all residents is that they need individualized compensatory social and health care support and guidance in all aspects of life.

For us, health professional work is about more than medicine, observations and treatment. It is also about seeing the individual, noticing small changes, understanding what is left unsaid, and creating security and quality of life in daily life.

We work at a high professional level, which means that all employees participate in supervision and thematic days aimed at social and health professional reflection and method development, just as we support one another in daily practice.

We work according to the City of Assens’ personnel policy values, which means that we strive to be decent, open, engaged, ambitious and trustworthy.

We also focus on development, respect, job satisfaction and psychological safety, as well as a positive and flexible approach to work.

The job As a social- and health care assistant at Lindebjerg, your tasks are primarily to ensure the objectives of Assens Municipality’s health agreement. As a social and health care assistant you are part of handling both health and social care interventions and contribute to the care of the citizen’s whole life, including personal care and everyday life.

You will be attached to a primary team, and in addition you will, when needed, take on health-care tasks across the campus. The handling of health-care tasks is conducted with a cross-disciplinary focus and in close collaboration with Lindebjerg’s nurses.

This means, among other things, that you will help ensure that

  • the citizens experience safety, quality and continuity in task execution
  • the health-care tasks are performed in accordance with the Health Act
  • there is updating of FMK, medication administration, wound care, tube feeding, catheter, insulin administration mv.
  • colleagues are guided through delegation and based on the Health Act, so they can handle the daily tasks, including medication management
  • the citizens’ condition and action instructions are created and updated in the documentation system (we use Nexus)
  • contact and participation in meetings with general practitioners, neurologists and psychiatrists
  • ensure use of evidence-based clinical guidelines based on VAR Healthcare
  • Early Detection of Beginning Disease (TOBS)
  • work with social-care interventions per authorities’ orders, including working with citizens’ sub-goals

In addition, you can expect to receive

  • present management and framework-setting
  • great freedom to shape your own day and develop your professional skills in both mono- and interprofessional communities
  • a strong team with professional engagement, flexibility and a heart in the right place
  • a workplace in constant movement and development
  • a workplace where there is focus on the working environment and employee well-being
  • supervision and scheduled thematic days

Who are you You are a trained social- and health care assistant and preferably with experience from the pedagogical field, but this is not a requirement.

In addition, we would like you to

  • be a good partner and a clear health professional role model
  • be flexible, have a good overview and have excellent planning and coordination skills
  • have knowledge of and strong skills in communication, guidance and evaluation
  • be able to engage in professional sparring with other professionals and be able to use and receive constructive feedback
  • act in an appreciative, professional manner and be aware of your own professional and personal resources
  • have good written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable with electronic documentation
  • be systematic in planning and carrying out tasks

We are looking for someone who sees value in small steps, rejoices in the big moments and knows that relationships are often the beginning of everything.
