Try your hand at home care and/or nursing homes

As a temp in the City of Copenhagen you can choose shifts in home care and in nursing homes. You get the opportunity to meet different citizens and colleagues and use your professional skills in different settings.

In home care you meet the citizens in their own homes, where you help create security, presence and quality in everyday life. In the nursing homes you become part of the daily life around the residents and contribute to care, well-being and good moments.

You can choose the area that suits you best and get variation in your working life – while you develop your professional competences.

You decide – we have the shifts

With our self-service solution and the VKS app you always have an overview of available shifts and your own shifts. Here you can easily sign up for the shifts that suit you. You can work

• day shifts (07:00-16:00): For those who want to work during the day – on weekdays and on weekends.
• evening shifts (13:00-24:00): For those who want to work in home care – for temps with and without a driving license.
• night shifts (21:00-08:00): For those who want to work in the nursing homes.

You decide yourself whether you want to work a lot or a little. Maybe you need many hours for a period – maybe you need to take completely free in another period.

That is exactly what makes the temp corps an attractive choice for you who want a working life with great freedom.

You never stand alone

We are a supportive temp corps where you always have the opportunity to have a chat with us. We know Copenhagen, the different workplaces and our temps – and we are available when you need sparring or have questions.

When you take a shift, we try, as far as possible, to consider your profile, your competences and your travel time. That means you aren’t just sent somewhere at random.

We also know that it matters that the tone is respectful, and that you feel welcome – even when you are a temp.

We’re looking for you who

• have training as a social- and health care helper
• deliver care and support with high professional quality
• are stable, flexible and responsible
• thrive on workdays that are not necessarily the same
• meet citizens and colleagues with respect and a positive outlook
• prefer to have experience from the elderly care sector after completing your education.

A professional community you can use

Within your first 14 days you will receive a three-to-four-hour introduction to the temp corps so you are equipped for the role. You also have the opportunity to participate in our dialogue meetings on Tuesday or Thursday, where temps meet and share experiences from everyday life. Here there is room for

• professional sparring
• knowledge sharing
• dialogue about concrete situations
• experience exchange with other temps.

This gives you the opportunity to learn from others and share your own experiences.

Terms of employment

Salary and employment terms according to applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay setting.
