About the job

Do you have a desire to be connected to a ward with high professional standards, good collegiality, staff who are passionate about the patients, and who highly value humor? Then Ward 2221 has a vacant social and health care assistant position in mixed shifts.

Treatment and care are planned based on a holistic approach. Work is carried out using cognitive behavioral therapy and in a milieu-therapeutic framework with fixed structured activities/groups. Psychiatric Center North Zealand is focused on supporting the patient’s personal recovery process, where the individual patient’s resources and personal goals are brought into play. The approach is also supplemented by the introduction of Safewards throughout the center.

In the ward you will be part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, consisting of doctors, nurses, social- and health care assistants, a psychologist, a physiotherapist, a social worker and a recovery mentor.

We place emphasis on you wanting to develop and acquire both theoretical and practical competencies within psychiatric nursing. In the introductory period you will be required to participate in mandatory courses that strengthen your overall competencies at the start.

During the first year of employment you will also be assigned a mentor among the staff, who will follow you as part of the introduction to the ward. You will also be offered the course “Getting Started in Psychiatry” for social- and health care assistants.

Who are we?

Open 24-hour ward 2221 in Hillerød is a stable ward with staff with great psychiatric experience, high professional level and good colleagues. It is also characterized by openness and opportunities for professional sparring. The ward has 13 beds and 3 beds for patient-driven admissions. We receive patients from 18 years up to 70 years with psychiatric disorders and somatic challenges for assessment and treatment. The 3 beds for patient-driven admissions are an arrangement where 80 selected patients can admit themselves for up to 5 days, at their own request.

We collaborate purposefully with relatives, municipal authorities, general practitioners and other inpatient wards. In addition, we collaborate with OPUS, F-ACT, and psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic.

We offer multidisciplinary cognitive supervision once a week for 1 hour. The ward annually holds 1 development day. In addition to mandatory courses there is a focus on continuous skills development.
