Social-work housing support sought for a couple

Can you be present, listen and create a sense of security without you having to set a lot in motion? Then you can play an important role as housing support for a couple who both need calm and relationship-oriented support.

About the task

We are seeking a social work professional to provide housing support for a couple who live together.

The woman has paranoid schizophrenia, anxiety, PTSD and borderline personality disorder. She needs structure, predictability and an affirming approach. The housing support includes, among other things, listening, talking about what weighs on her, and supporting with structure and planning. It is important that you are stable and keep your commitments, and that you can provide a quick response when needed.

The man needs calm and relationship-oriented support. The housing support includes conversations about daily life and what weighs on him, as well as support for activities such as walks and fitness.

For both residents it is important that you can be present and create a safe framework without initiating too much. The task largely revolves around being a stable relationship, listening and adapting the support to the individual needs.

About you

You are a social work professional with experience of mental disorders and strong relationship skills. It is important that you have knowledge of mental disorders and can translate your professional knowledge into a calm, affirming and respectful approach.

You are good at listening and being present and can support with structure, planning and motivation when needed. At the same time you are comfortable with the idea that conversation and the relationship are sometimes central to the support.

Working hours

The woman has 3 hours of housing support per week with contact on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is not necessarily in-person on all three days, as one of the contacts can take place as a phone call.

The man has 3 hours of housing support per week, preferably Wednesday morning. In addition there is the possibility of a reassurance call or a text once a week.

It is desirable that the same worker can provide housing support for both residents.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed duty phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement between FOA and Dansk Erhverv.
