Social Workers for the Authority and Visitation Department in the Specialized Adult Services Area

We are looking for two dedicated and professionally strong social workers/social mediators for fixed-term vacancies in the Authority and Visitation Department in Norddjurs Municipality.

We are facing an exciting development in the specialized social area and therefore have the opportunity to strengthen the department with two positions:

• A one-year temporary position
• A two-year temporary position

Both positions are 37 hours per week with start date 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will become part of a department consisting of 10 advisors, a professional coordinator, four administrative staff and a manager. We are organized in smaller teams, but see ourselves as one cohesive department with a shared responsibility to succeed in the core task.

A department in development

The specialized social area in Norddjurs Municipality is in an exciting development. Based on the Social Area's long-term strategy, we are working purposefully to create a sustainable and professionally strong specialized social area for adults.

You will be part of several central development initiatives, including

• Implementation of VUM 2.0
• Increased focus on goal management and results documentation
• Development of a new governance model and tariff structure
• Increased focus on contract management and social-legal negotiations
• Implementation of new housing support forms

We are looking for colleagues who want to contribute to the daily authority task and be an active part of the professional development.

Your tasks

Your tasks will among other things be to

• Provide advice and guidance to citizens and partners
• Assess citizens' resources, needs and challenges
• Process applications and make decisions under the Social Services Act
• Follow up on approved interventions and goals
• Ensure involvement of citizens, relatives, guardians and relevant collaborators

We work with VUM 2.0 as an assessment method, supported by Nexus.

In our authority work we balance professional and financial considerations and at the same time have a strong focus on rehabilitation and development. We believe that people can develop, and that the right support creates possibilities for the greatest possible independence.

We are looking for someone who

Is educated as a social worker, social mediator or has another relevant social science education

• Has an interest in authority work in the specialized adult area
• Has knowledge of - or a desire to work with - citizens with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injury, psychiatric disorders or special social problems
• Can navigate confidently in the authority role with professional integrity and overview
• Works in a structured and thorough manner
• Can express yourself clearly and precisely both orally and in writing
• Thrive in an environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday life

Practical information

The department is temporarily housed at Kalorievej 7 in Grenaa until mid-March 2027. Thereafter we expect to move back to Grenaa City Hall.

Note that the temporary address is difficult to reach by public transport.
