SOSU helper for 17 weeks – Nyborg Municipality

If you are 25 years old or older and have two years of relevant professional experience, you can train as a social and health care assistant in 17 weeks.

To be admitted to the program you must be able to document that in the last 4 years you have 2 years' experience at a minimum of 24 hours/week within home care or in a nursing home.

If you have worked less than 24 hours/week, the employment counts as half, and you must be able to document correspondingly longer employment.

You must also

• Have experience from several shifts, with main emphasis on day shifts.
• Have substantial work experience with care and nursing tasks.
• In your job function have been part of a team.
• In your job function have participated in professional sparring.

Admission procedure

• You must apply to Nyborg Municipality for an apprentice position.
• You must fill out the application form from SosuFyn https://www.sosufyn.dk/euv1ssh/ .

When SosuFyn receives your application, you will be invited to a recognition of prior learning (RKV) assessment.

If you enter into an education agreement with Nyborg Municipality you will receive apprentice wages during the training.

The next education program starts on 22 February 2027 and you can expect to be fully trained SSH by 25 June 2027. The teaching takes place at SosuFyn in Odense.
