Job & Aktivitet Center Vestegnen offers sheltered employment and activity and social interaction opportunities to about 350 adults with reduced physical and/or mental functioning in accordance with Servicelovens §§ 103 and 104.

The organization has its own Snoezel House and a team of occupational/physiotherapists attached.

Our offerings are located at different addresses in Brøndby Municipality.

The organization is dynamic and development-oriented and is characterized by a high level of pedagogical professionalism, learning, ethics, involvement and influence. The organization is built with self-managing teams.

Job & Aktivitetscenter Vestegnen is facing a major organizational change, as the largest unit Langbjerg needs new premises.

You will be part of a dynamic leadership team

Together with the director, you as deputy manager have the overall strategic responsibility for the organization’s development and operations, and you have an acting/ deputy role for the leader. You will work in close collaboration with the director on the shared tasks, just as you will have independent areas of responsibility.

You, together with the director, provide sparring to the leadership team, which consists of 6 function heads. You ensure the organization’s professional development and quality in close collaboration with the leadership team and our associated development consultant.

Among your many tasks there will also be tasks related to HR, finance/budget and visitation. You will become a member of the organization’s visitation committee.

We place great emphasis on developing and maintaining a good collaboration across the municipality and with our many municipal partners. As deputy manager you play an important role in supporting cross-functional collaborations.

You will become part of an organization in constant development, and you must be able to lead in managing change, generate energy and bring the entire organization along.

We expect that you as deputy manager

• Have pedagogical professional insight or experience and knowledge of the target group.
• Have relevant leadership training and preferably experience in leading other leaders.
• Take responsibility for leading change processes and working with leadership/staff development in a large organization across different sites.
• Actively contribute to further developing and supporting the organization’s values, goals and strategies in close collaboration with the director and the leadership team.
• Think in a holistic way and contribute to good collaboration across the leadership team.
• Contribute to strengthening our collaboration both internally within the organization, as well as across the municipality and with our partners in other municipalities.
• Have political, financial and organizational understanding, as you will participate in the organization’s daily operations and governance.
• Can create an overview and communicate the throughline – you are a strong communicator both in writing and speaking.
• Are visionary and see opportunities.
• Will work closely with MED, AMR and TR.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week.

Salary and employment terms are individually negotiated according to the applicable collective agreement.
