About the job

Do you want to translate the City of Copenhagen's ambitions for climate-friendly IT into changes that work in practice? We are seeking a specialist who can lead projects that reduce the climate impact of the municipality's IT across Core IT and the municipality's administrations, and create progress in a small team with a large contact surface.

About the position

You will be part of the Climate, Efficiencies and Data Team in IT Procurement Advisory and Contract Management in Core IT. We work to reduce the climate footprint of the municipality's IT and use data and analyses to qualify decisions and actions.

You will be responsible for several funded projects, which must translate knowledge about climate-friendly IT into concrete changes. You plan and implement the projects in collaboration with colleagues in Core IT, the municipality's other administrations and external parties. You will prepare analyses and decision proposals yourself and monitor progress, finances and results. The role gives you the opportunity to use your experience where IT solutions, organizational needs and climate considerations meet.

You will also be the Scrum Master for our growing team of three. Together with the team coordinator you create an overview of tasks, capacity and dependencies, facilitate meetings and develop working methods that help the team deliver. The team pragmatically uses agile principles to prioritize tasks, plan the work and follow up on progress.

Your tasks will include

  • lead and implement projects that reduce the climate footprint of the municipality's IT, across Core IT and the administrations
  • translate climate data, professional knowledge and analyses of existing solutions into prioritized initiatives, plans and decision proposals
  • build networks and create collaboration across disciplines, management levels, suppliers and other partners
  • establish and drive change processes so new solutions are anchored and used in a large organization
  • manage deliverables, risks, finances and progress with a clear focus on results and end-user needs
  • facilitate the team's agile work and develop processes that provide clear priorities and realistic planning

Your profile

You have insight into the interplay between climate and IT and concrete experience with implementing climate-friendly IT projects in a municipal context. You know what it takes to change practices across both a central IT function and other parts of the organization. You keep up with developments in the field, and it is an advantage if you also survey international experiences and trends.

You have a strong methodological and theoretical foundation and experience in establishing and driving change processes in a large and complex organization. You master common tools within project management and Scrum and choose the approach that helps the project move forward. You work in a structured and efficient manner, follow up on agreements and deadlines and keep the focus on solutions that create value for end users.

You communicate clearly and persuasively, both in writing and speaking. You build relationships across organizational boundaries and collaborate professionally with leaders and employees at all levels. You can gather different perspectives, build support for decisions and maintain a common direction, even when many interests are involved.

We imagine that you

  • have knowledge of climate-friendly IT in a municipal context and experience in delivering projects in the area
  • understand the connection between climate, sustainability and IT and can use data and analyses to qualify initiatives
  • have documented experience with project management, process development and organizational implementation
  • can facilitate meetings and collaboration between different disciplines and stakeholders
  • can present on the projects' goals, progress and results for different audiences
  • are strong in stakeholder management and can create progress across disciplines and organizational boundaries
  • have a relevant advanced degree or equivalent experience

We offer you

You will play a central role in the work with climate-friendly digitalization and have the opportunity to influence projects and working methods. You will become part of a small team and have a broad contact surface to project managers, generalists and technical specialists across the municipality.
