About the job

Specialists with experience in psychiatry and self-harm sought for Carelink Shielded Housing

Do you want to help create good conditions for children, young people and adults with challenges who need a specially designed residential facility? Can you see yourself in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and in an organization that highly values professionalism? Then it’s you we’re looking for.

Who are we?

Carelink Shielded Housing is part of Carelink Group, which is Denmark's largest private welfare group and which delivers interventions across health, employment, social sector and elder care.

We work in Carelink Group based on the view that all people have value and resources, but that the approach to this is individual. Our values are:

· We have respect for each other and the task

· We find solutions

· We do it properly

Carelink Shielded Housing consists of 3 departments, where the target group is children, young people and adults with a need for a specially tailored residential facility in accordance with the Children's Act §43 or the Social Services Act §107 and §108.

The target group for each department is characterized by a number of challenges that require a special effort, where the individual receives 1:1 or 2:1 support. The support is provided by social, pedagogical staff with specialized knowledge within the specific area.

The departments have the following target groups

· Crime and substance abuse

· Autism and developmental disabilities

· Psychiatry and self-harm

About the job

We are looking for a number of employees with a solid background and experience with the target group within psychiatry and self-harm. Your background is pedagogical and/or health-related, and preferably with knowledge of pedagogical approaches and methods such as Low Arousal, mentalization and the appreciative approach. You must thrive in close relational work with the citizens and at the same time take pride in supporting the citizen’s development at a high professional level and in close collaboration with your colleagues.

You will be employed as part of a team in the department and work together with your colleagues based on the department's methodological approaches and with the starting point in each citizen's special needs. You report in daily operations to a department head.

There are primarily 24-hour shifts, and you will spend the shift either alone or with a colleague, depending on the task’s complexity. The job includes day, evening and night hours and

is planned on both weekdays and weekends. The appointment corresponds to 160.33 hours, i.e., a full-time position.

These are tasks where you must be professionally well prepared for the job, be naturally curious about your own and others’ professionalism and be able to translate development goals into practical pedagogical actions that support the citizen’s development.

You must be able to thrive in a daily life that can be variable and require you to take responsibility and action on the challenges that arise, but also be able to assess when you should reach out for sparring and help from a colleague or supervisor.

We expect from you

· That you have knowledge of and experience with working with socially vulnerable children, young people and adults - and their families/networks.

· That you have a relevant pedagogical or social care education and relevant experience with the target group.

· That you can work independently, be proactive, and that you can plan your own time, follow up on and complete the things you initiate.

· That you can see yourself joining a team where things move quickly, and where we lift together.

· That you are flexible and responsible – and possess a high degree of tolerance and patience as well as the ability to maintain an overview in conflict-filled situations.

· That you possess a strong engagement, are flexible and responsible while you are passionate about making a difference for children, young people and adults with various challenges.

· That you think in a holistic way and can engage in both internal and external cooperation.

· That you can approach your tasks systematically and structured.

· That you are good at observing and documenting your work on a professionally sound basis

· That you have a clean criminal and child protection record.

· That you have a driving license and own car

We offer

· An organization in constant development that places high value on professionalism and integrity.

· A workplace with good colleagues at all levels, characterized by a high professional level, strong engagement and ambition.

· The opportunity to become part of a professional community, where there is also professional supervision and competence development.

· A daily life that is never the same.

· Meaningful work, where we every day help ensure the best possible conditions for the citizens we are responsible for.
