About the job
Specialists with experience in psychiatry and self-harm sought for Carelink Sheltered Housing
Do you want to help create good conditions for children, young people and adults with challenges who need a special housing offer? Can you see yourself in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and in an organization that values professionalism highly? Then you are the one we are looking for.
Who are we?
Carelink Sheltered Housing is part of Carelink Group, which is Denmark's largest private welfare group and which provides interventions across health, employment, social services and elder care.
We operate within Carelink Group from the belief that all people have value and resources, but that the approach to this is individual. Our set of values is:
· We respect each other and the task
· We find solutions
· We do it properly
Carelink Sheltered Housing comprises 3 departments, where the target group is children, young people and adults in need of a specially tailored housing environment according to the Children’s Act §43 or the Danish Social Services Act §§107 and 108.
The target groups for each department are characterized by a number of challenges that require a special effort, where the individual receives 1:1 or 2:1 support. The support is provided by social and pedagogical staff with specialized knowledge within the specific area.
The departments have the following target groups
· Crime and substance abuse
· Autism and intellectual disability
· Psychiatry and self-harm
About the job
We are seeking several employees with a solid background and experience with the target group within psychiatry and self-harm. Your background is pedagogical and/or health-care oriented, and preferably with knowledge of pedagogical approaches and methods such as Low Arousal, mentalization and the appreciative approach. You should thrive in close relational work with the citizens and at the same time take pride in supporting the citizens’ development at a high professional level and in close collaboration with your colleagues.
You will be employed as part of a team in the department and work together with your colleagues based on the department’s methodological approaches and with the individual citizen’s special needs as a starting point. You will report in daily practice to a department head.
There are primarily 24-hour shifts, and you will spend the shift either alone or with a colleague, depending on the task’s complexity. The assignment includes day, evening and night hours and
is planned for both weekdays and weekends. The appointment is 160.33 hours, corresponding to a full-time position.
These are tasks where you need to be professionally well-prepared for the role, be naturally curious about your own and others’ professionalism, and be able to translate development goals into practical pedagogical actions that support the citizen’s development.
You must be able to thrive in a daily life that can be variable and may require you to take responsibility and act on challenges as they arise, but also be able to judge when you should reach out for sparring and help from a colleague or supervisor.
We expect from you
· That you have knowledge of and experience with working with socially vulnerable children, young people and adults — and their families/networks.
· That you have a relevant pedagogical or social work education and relevant experience with the target group.
· That you can work independently, be proactive, and that you can plan your own time, follow up and complete the things you initiate.
· That you can see yourself joining a team where things move fast, and where we lift together.
· That you are flexible and responsible – and possess a high degree of openness and patience as well as the ability to maintain an overview in conflictful situations.
· That you possess great commitment, are flexible and responsible while being passionate about making a difference for children, young people and adults with diverse challenges.
· That you think in a holistic way and can engage in both internal and external collaborative relationships.
· That you can approach your tasks systematically and structurally.
· That you are good at observing and documenting your work on a professionally well-founded basis
· That you have a clean criminal record and a børneattest (certificate for working with children).
· That you have a driver's license and own car
We offer
· An organization in continual development that values professionalism and integrity highly.
· A workplace with good colleagues at all levels, characterized by a high professional level, strong commitment and ambitions.
· Opportunity to become part of a professional community where there is also professional supervision and competence development.
· A daily life that is never the same.
· Meaningful work where we every day contribute to ensuring the best possible conditions for the citizens we are responsible for.
