About the job

Children's Center, Nebs Møllegård

Would you like to contribute to strengthening the health-professional quality in a specialized treatment offer for children and adolescents?

At Nebs Møllegård we are looking for an engaged and professionally strong social and health assistant or nurse who wishes to combine collaboration with the children in the houses with coordination and development of the health-professional practice and documentation.

The position is for you who thrive in a multidisciplinary environment where relationships, treatment, health-professional work, and documentation go hand in hand, and who wish to contribute to the continued development of our professional quality.

You will have a dual role. On the one hand a coordinating role, and to be the focal point to ensure quality, procedures and workflows in dialogue. And on the other hand you will be part of the social-professional work in daily life and be at work for about 6 weekends per year.

About Nebs Møllegård

Nebs Møllegård is a specialized treatment center for children and adolescents with complex social, emotional and developmental challenges.

Our professional foundation is built on

  • A systemic and narrative framework.
  • A mentalization-based approach.
  • An milieu-therapeutic tradition.

We see the child as part of the relational systems it belongs to, and we work from a fundamental understanding that development and change are created through secure relationships, meaning-making stories and participation in developing communities.

We build on the milieu-therapeutic tradition, where everyday life is actively used as a treatment room, and where interaction, structure, care, reflection and relationships support the child's development and well-being.

The position comprises two central task areas.

Social work in the department

You will become part of the daily treatment practice and actively participate in the work with children and young people.

Your tasks will among other things include

  • Collaborate with the children about everyday life in the houses.
  • Build and maintain development-supporting relationships.
  • Participate in the milieu-therapeutic treatment in daily life.
  • Contribute to structured and safety-enhancing frameworks.
  • Work based on systemic, narrative and mentalization-based methods.
  • Participate in treatment conferences, status meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.
  • Observe and describe development, well-being and treatment needs.
  • Contribute to treatment plans and goal follow-up.
  • Involve family, networks and partners in the treatment work.

Health-professional development, quality and documentation

At the same time you will take on a special coordinating role to strengthen the health-professional effort across Nebs Møllegård.

You will among other things have to

  • Contribute to the development and preparation of health-professional procedures, workflows and annual cycles.
  • Enhance quality in medication handling and health-professional interventions.
  • Be part of the health-professional collaboration and network around the children.
  • Contribute to the implementation of applicable health-professional standards.
  • Support and spar with colleagues on health-professional issues.
  • Ensure high quality in health-professional documentation, create good frameworks and guidelines for it.
  • Contribute to coherence between treatment observations and health-professional assessments.
  • Support the development of documentation practice so that descriptions, analyses and evaluations support both treatment and learning.
  • Help translate health-professional knowledge into concrete everyday actions.

We want to strengthen the link between health-professionalism and treatment so that physical, psychological and social conditions are seen in context and documented systematically.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Is trained as a nurse or an experienced social- and health assistant.
  • Has interest in or experience with working with children and young people in vulnerable positions.
  • Has an eye for the connection between health, well-being, relationships and development.
  • Can work milieu-therapeutically and systemically/relationally oriented.
  • Works reflectively and curiously with mentalization in practice.
  • Can contribute to the development of professional documentation and quality assurance.
  • Is structured yet flexible in a complex everyday life.
  • Thrives in multidisciplinary collaborations.
  • Can communicate health-professional knowledge in a practical and appreciative way.

Experience from the overnight area, social psychiatry, the child and youth sector, or other treatment institutions would be an advantage.

We offer

  • An exciting combined position with both treatment-related and development-oriented tasks.
  • Opportunity to make a clear mark on the health-professional field.
  • An workplace with high professionalism and a strong collegial community.
  • Ongoing supervision and professional sparring.
  • Opportunity for competency development within systemic practice, narrative therapy, mentalization and milieu therapy.
  • A values-based work community with focus on reflection, development and quality.

Application

Would you like to help strengthen the health-professional perspective in a specialized treatment offer where relationships, mentalization and development are central, we would love to hear from you.
