Do you have the calm, presence and professional expertise to create a safe school day for a child with extensive support and care needs? Then ActivCare has a meaningful task for you, who wishes to use your healthcare experience in a close 1:1 relationship.

We are seeking a social and health care assistant or nurse for a small, stable team around a child in early school age with a rare genetic disease, microcephaly and deafblindness.

The child attends a special school for children with multiple disabilities and has severely reduced motor, communicative and sensory functional level. Therefore your calm presence, your observations and your professional assessment are crucial throughout the day.

A safe and present school day

You accompany the child from home to school and back after school. Along the way you are the constant health care support, ensuring continuity, safety and attention to the child's needs.

Your tasks include, among others

·           personal care

·           transfers, positioning and frequent changes in position

·           observation of respiration and general condition

·           close supervision and ongoing assessment of the child's needs

·           handling of suction under instruction and delegation

·           close collaboration with the family, the school and other professionals

There is a 1:1 assignment, where the child cannot be left unattended. You will therefore play a central role in creating a stable and safe everyday life.

Is it you we are looking for?

·           You are trained as a social and health care assistant or nurse.

·           You work calmly, responsibly and independently.

·           You are professionally curious and have an eye for even small changes in the child’s condition.

·           You thrive in a close relationship where stability and trust are important.

·           If you have experience with respiratory issues and suctioning, that is an advantage – but not a requirement. You will receive the necessary training so you feel confident and well prepared for the task.

Regular day shifts on weekdays

·           25 hours per week

·           Monday to Friday

·           8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

·           no evening, night or weekend shifts
