With capacity for 52 children distributed in a nursery with space for 24 children from 0-3 years, distributed over two rooms. Kindergarten with space for 28 children from 4-6 years.

You must be responsible for following Inatsisartut Act no. 62 of 20 November 2023 on pedagogically developmentally oriented offers for preschool-aged children, as well as working according to guidelines that can be found on the Qeqqata Municipality website regarding Qeqqata Municipality’s political visions, child and youth policy, and pedagogical objectives.

Criminal record and Child attestation

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child attestations. Under the law, employment may begin only when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child attestations. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed once the municipality has received the child attestation from the National Police, and the criminal record from the Police.

The child attestation is obtained by the municipality with consent from the individual, where the criminal record attestation is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat (NPK) and SIK or another relevant negotiating organization.

Start date: by arrangement.

The appointment will be made with a 3-month probationary period.

Housing

There may be assigned staff housing to the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the currently applicable rules for rent payments in Greenlandic Self-Government and municipal properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be provided immediately on arrival, employees with the right to vacant housing will be offered temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid in accordance with the above.

Arrival travel and relocation of household effects are provided in accordance with the applicable rules.
