Staff member to strengthen the local association life in Hillerød East

The House/Grønnevang School and the KBK football association are seeking a staff member to strengthen the local association life in the Grønnevang district. The position is permanent and between 15-32 hours per week

Grønnevang district and KBK football

Grønnevang is an exciting neighborhood in Hillerød Municipality with active residents, shared premises, institutions and a local primary school. One of the important players in the area’s leisure activities is the local football club KBK. KBK has had a quiet period, and now it is time to dream big, so KBK can again form the framework for activities and communities and be an asset in the district with many local members.

Purpose and the position

The position is newly created, and the purpose is to support leisure life in the local area, where local children meet across - with KBK football club as the center.

The focus will therefore initially be on KBK football, but in the longer term the role will also have a broader focus on other local associations in Grønnevang district. For example by organizing 1 or 2 annual events for and with local associations in Grønnevang or by holding a joint holiday camp.

The long-term goal is to strengthen association life in the area so that more children and young people can find their way into the good community life of leisure.

You should be able to do a bit of everything - but the most important thing is that you are passionate about creating collaboration, building bridges between people and have in-depth knowledge of association life.

You will need to make contact with the area’s residents, create collaboration with and between the area’s institutions, including close cooperation with the HFO at Grønnevang School and support and strengthen KBK - and in time other local associations - in their activities.

Responsibilities

• Outreach work among parents, children and youth (institutions, school)
• Recruit volunteer parents who can become coaches.
• Train young people to be coaches/assistant coaches.
• Develop programs at schools to support that children and young people are inspired to participate in physical activity in their leisure time.
• Develop programs in kindergartens to support that children and young people are inspired to participate in physical activity in their leisure time.
• Create activities and support trainings
• Lead trainings until volunteer instructors are recruited.
• Attend matches on weekends.
• Organize, for example, Saturday/Sunday cozy time for the very young from 10:00-11:00, where the initial purpose is play and to build relationships.
• Organize monthly events where the team/teams do something together in their free time (eat pizza, go to the swimming pool, cinema, etc.)
• In the longer term – focus on the broader association life
• Cooperation with other local associations on joint activities, e.g., holiday camps
• Possibly develop KBK as a multi-tier association

Target group

3-10 years old.

Competences

• You have experience with association life and are used to working with children, young people and parents.
• You have an educational stance that you can articulate and work from in practice.
• You have the ability to collaborate across and can see value in collaborating with your colleagues and local actors in the neighborhood.
• You work from an appreciative approach, both towards children, colleagues and the parents.
• You have a general knowledge of football

Working hours and place

• You help determine your own working hours. They will be highly variable, depending on which projects you are working on. You must be flexible, and you must be able to work on weekends and evenings. The extent is difficult to judge at this stage, since the effort is new. But it will be arranged in collaboration with you.
• You will be employed by HUSET and Klub-Højager and report to the manager here.

Employment terms

The position is permanent and between 15-32 hours per week, depending on your possibilities.

Salary set according to collective agreement and qualifications.

The position is desired to be filled as soon as possible.
