We are looking for an educator who wants to make a difference for our younger residents with cognitive difficulties and social-pedagogical challenges. Several have a life history marked by many years of substance abuse, and some still have active alcohol misuse.

It is a target group that challenges our professional expertise, requires our patience and calls on our ability to see the person behind the behaviour. There are not always simple solutions here – but there are plenty of opportunities to create small and large moments of safety, development and quality of life.

What do we expect from you?

You are an educator who stands solidly on your professional basis, remains calm when everyday life is unpredictable, and dares to walk new paths together with residents and colleagues.

• Are curious about what lies behind the behaviour. You have an interest in structure, low arousal and conflict de-escalation.
• See the whole person. You understand that social, psychological, cognitive and health-related challenges are interconnected, and you build bridges between the social-pedagogical and health-pedagogical perspectives.
• Can embrace the complexity. You meet residents without prejudice and work professionally with care, harm reduction, self-determination and clear professional boundaries – even when misuse continues.
• Have command of your professional knowledge. You can document your work, develop social-pedagogical action plans and translate observations into concrete actions.
• Want to inspire others. You contribute with new perspectives, professional reflection and a desire to develop practice together with your health-care colleagues.

You will have a special pedagogical focus on our younger residents, but you will also be part of the department’s regular team around all residents.
