Stjernegården seeks curious and imaginative pedagogues

In Vallensbæk we in 2025 built a new day-care facility with room for three nursery groups and three kindergarten groups. The day-care center is located right next to Vallensbæk School and Vallensbæk Water and Sports City and is called Stjernegården. Over the past year we have continuously expanded with more children both in the kindergarten and in the nursery, and at the start of the new year we are aiming for the last wave of children to come into our lovely house. Therefore we need skilled pedagogues and pedagogical staff to lead the innovative task in both the kindergarten and nursery departments.

The positions are 37 hours and to be filled by 1 January 2027

In the kindergarten it is our ambition to assemble the right team. We as employees are looking for imaginative, idea-driven, warm-hearted and professionally capable colleagues who, together with us, will share the wonderful experience of being co-creators of a completely new house.

We have asked the children and their criteria are that we find an adult "who can draw monster drawings and Gurli pig drawings." and "a fun adult who gives us cake."

As a pedagogue at Stjernegården you will be part of a new pedagogical community. We have engaged in a good process where we have built relationships, values and traditions from the ground up, and you will have influence on how we together continue to shape daily life and the culture in the house. With us the grass may be trodden, in the sense that we are open to new ideas and initiatives, and that it is okay to make mistakes as long as we learn from it together.

In the nursery we are looking for a colleague who is passionate about working with nursery children and who sees an exciting opportunity to help put their mark on an institution that is still new. You should want to work in an affirming manner and with the child’s perspective in focus and you should be able to thrive in change.

More generally in both kindergarten and nursery it is important that you can take initiative and responsibility, be flexible in daily life and be willing to contribute with professionalism, curiosity and good humor.

In Vallensbæk we work with ICDP in all our day-care facilities, because we know that a good relationship is essential for high pedagogical quality. Therefore you will receive an ICDP training if you do not already have one. We are also very focused on supporting children’s language development and therefore also work with Sprogklar and Sangglad – which we would very much like to tell you more about in a conversation.

At the same time there is a lot of beautiful nature in Vallensbæk and of course we should make use of it in our daily life with the children, so if you are especially interested in nature, that is a plus.
