About the job

Would you like to help increase Energinet's overall resilience through training and exercises that prepare the organization for pressure? As the subject matter expert for exercises and competence development, you will play a central role in creating a more uniform approach to training and competence development across Energinet System Responsibility's emergency preparedness.

"An emergency preparedness becomes robust not from plans alone. It becomes more robust through training, learning and exercise. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who wants to develop people and contribute to us being as prepared as possible when it really matters," says Senior Manager, Christian Nissen Ahrenkilde.

Help develop the emergency preparedness training, exercises and learning

In the KC Emergency Preparedness and Security department in Fredericia, we have cross-functional responsibility for emergency preparedness in the control center. We work to improve the organization's robustness and ability to handle both planned and unforeseen incidents. You will become part of a new emergency preparedness team that supports emergency work across Energinet System Responsibility. The team develops common methods, exercises, learning, governance and competencies, so the emergency preparedness works according to consistent and effective principles.

You are responsible for developing the training, exercise and competence efforts

As the subject matter expert you will be responsible for developing and coordinating the emergency preparedness training, exercise and competence activities. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization and translate learning into concrete improvements.

Your tasks include, among others,

  • plan, coordinate and develop exercises across System Responsibility
  • develop common methods and standards for training and exercise execution
  • conduct evaluations of exercises and ensure follow-up on learning points
  • support the development of competence profiles and learning paths
  • contribute to building a common training and exercise culture

In addition, you will support knowledge sharing and exchange of experiences between disciplines, identify development needs, which you translate into concrete learning activities, and support the team coordinator in the continuous development of the emergency function.

"Within your first year in the job, I expect you to have created a solid overview of existing exercise and training activities and contributed to an overall plan for exercises and competence development. In addition, you have completed or coordinated several cross-functional exercises and ensured systematic follow-up on learning points from exercises and incidents," elaborates Christian.

You are motivated by developing people and creating learning

We emphasize that you are interested in learning, training, exercises or emergency preparedness, and that you are motivated by creating development for both people and the organization.

We especially value that you

  • can translate experiences and learning into concrete improvements
  • have good collaboration skills and build good relationships across disciplines
  • work with purpose and take responsibility for progress
  • communicate clearly and engage others around common goals
  • thrive in a role where you both develop, coordinate and follow up

Do you want to make a difference with us?

Then we look forward to receiving your motivated application and CV no later than October 27. Schedule a few tentative calendar spots now for 5 and 6 November, when we hold the first interview online, and 13 November, when we hold the second interview in Fredericia.
