The AI-first narrative promises speed and automation, but risks eroding human meaning and agency. At the Center for Hybrid Intelligence (CHI), we believe in another path and that is combining human creativity, ethics and judgment with the scalability of AI. We are an interdisciplinary team of researchers and practitioners at the Department of Management, Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University.

We develop frameworks and tools for human-AI collaboration, such as FERC and the 4P Framework, do a lot of workshops, exploring digital interfaces and we are behind the Hybrid Intelligence Manifesto, supported by over 900 signatories.

Our websites are where all of this meets the world. We are looking for a creative and student assistant where your main task is to help us improve and develop our websites. The main website is made with Wordpress. As our student assistant, you will help shape how researchers, companies and the public experience hybrid intelligence. Our websites are one of the most important ways we share our activities on hybrid intelligence, where humans and AI meet to create meaningful innovation. As part of our team, you will work on live websites with real users and real impact.

Your tasks

Your tasks will include

  • Web design & maintenance: Designing, building and improving our websites so they are visually appealing, user-friendly and up to date. This is your main task.
  • Improving structure, navigation and user experience across our sites.
  • Graphic design: Creating visual material and graphics that fit our identity.
  • Content: Publishing and updating content that communicates our projects, results and events to both academic and broader audiences.
  • Ad hoc: We are a fast-moving team with many exciting projects, so you can expect a dynamic work environment with diverse tasks.

We expect that you

  • Have skills in web design.
  • Knowledge or/and experience with WordPress
  • Have an eye for aesthetics and UX.
  • Be able to show examples of your work (a portfolio or a project is enough).
  • Work in a structured and independent way.
  • Have an interest in AI and technology
  • Can communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in English and Danish.
  • Nice to have: Experience in graphic design and image editing (e.g. Figma, Adobe or similar), Basic HTML/CSS

You do not need to know everything above. Curiosity and a good eye for design matter more.

What we offer

  • Highly relevant practical experience for aspiring web designers, with your work visible to the public.
  • Close collaboration with both students, professors, partners from different fields so you can grow your network and gain experience in AI.
  • A young, interdisciplinary team that aims to create impact with our research, and a working environment characterised by respect, appreciation and collaboration.
