About the job

Do you want a student job where you come close to international job seekers and gain experience with participant contact, administration and coordination – while also seeing how a politically governed organization operates in practice?

In the Employment, Integration and Business Administration, we run five career programs that help international students, accompanying spouses and other international citizens get closer to the Danish labor market.

As a student assistant you will be part of all the things that make the programs work day-to-day – from contact with participants and follow-up to teaching days, workshops and larger events.

We are looking for someone who can both manage the details and lift their eyes from the to-do list. You enjoy getting things done, but also want to understand what they are part of.

What will you do?

You won't have one kind of workday. Some days start with a participant list and end with an event at Copenhagen City Hall. Others are more about emails, surveys, statistics, follow-up or material for participants. You will, among other things,

  • keep track of attendance, no-shows and follow-up
  • have contact with mentees and other participants
  • help with teaching days, workshops and events
  • work with surveys, statistics and data registration
  • solve administrative tasks across our five career programs.

You will get to know all five programs, so you can help where needed, even when the day takes a different turn than planned.

Who are you?

Maybe you study political science, social sciences, international studies, public administration, communication or something completely different. The name of the degree isn’t the most important. It’s the way you approach the work. We are especially looking for someone who

  • are structured and have an eye for detail
  • take responsibility and see your tasks through
  • can stay calm when several things happen at once
  • thrive with both fixed routines and days when something new lands in the inbox
  • take initiative and ask when something is unclear
  • are approachable and good at communicating with different people
  • have good IT skills and easily learn new systems.

It is important that you want to work with international job seekers and help create good conditions around their path into the Danish labor market.

We emphasise that you master both Danish and English at a professional level, as both languages are an important part of daily life with us. We speak Danish internally in the team/organization, and all our systems are in Danish, while the teaching, our external materials and communication with our international learners take place in English. It is therefore important that you can speak and write professionally in both languages.

What will you gain?

You gain experience in coordination, participant contact, administration, data registration and follow-up. But you also get the opportunity to see how a large public and politically governed organization operates from the inside.

You will get close to the collaboration between teachers, project managers and administrative staff and gain insight into how five career programs are kept running, and how different professional disciplines and tasks must play together in practice. This can be relevant experience if you later want to work with e.g. public administration, employment, integration, HR, international relations or coordination.

Your upcoming team

You will become part of the Employment, Integration and Business Administration in the City of Copenhagen. We run five career programs for international job seekers and also collaborate with 36 other municipalities to support international citizens in their job search. You have the opportunity to read more about our programs here . We are a team with diverse professional backgrounds, a strong sense of team spirit and a great commitment to the field.

We help each other, share knowledge and have room for both questions and ideas. As a student assistant you become part of the whole team. You bring your own competencies and also get colleagues you can learn a lot from.

Sounds like something for you?

Employment terms

The position is about 15 hours per week and can be arranged to fit your studies. We are based at Gammel Køge Landevej 43 in Valby, and we hope our new student assistant can start as soon as possible.

Do you have questions?

You are welcome to contact the chief consultant and team coordinator in the team, Mahak Laursen, at 20 45 55 93, if you want to hear more about the position or tasks.

Apply via the link no later than Friday the 30 October 2026

We expect to hold interviews in week 46.
