Are you studying Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and are you excited to put your skills into practice? Here is your chance to gain hands-on experience and kickstart your career by joining our Self Protection Air team. Come and be part of our journey!
We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea, and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Student Worker to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.
Your role as part of the team
As our new Student Worker in Self Protection Air, you will gain hands-on experience by working on a variety of tasks, allowing you to put your theoretical knowledge into practice. You will support the team in developing and maintaining software written in C++, participate in task planning and management, and collaborate closely with experienced engineers in a small development team.
Through your work, you will gain insight into how professional development teams operate and how complex systems are designed, implemented, and tested, and experience the thrill of writing code that gets deployed to real aircraft, for real purposes.
In our team we take pride in developing people and technology. You will be part of a professional team that values collaboration, open communication, and mutual support. We care about the work we do and the people behind it.
Technical skills matter, but your mindset matters even more. If you enjoy learning, are eager to develop your skills, and approach new challenges with curiosity and a positive attitude, you could be a great addition to our team. You are organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
The practicalities: Working hours are around 15 hours per week, depending on task load and priorities. Working hours are flexible and will be adapted to fit your academic schedule, as we understand that your education remains your top priority.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:
•
- Contribute to software development for mission-critical embedded systems
- Support the team in developing and maintaining software in C++
- Participate in task planning and task management within the Self Protection team
- Contribute to ongoing development projects and technical problem-solving
Bring your expertise into play
We welcome students from diverse academic backgrounds who are passionate about contributing to a high-tech company and making an impact. Candidates may be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study.
We are looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications
•
- Strong programming skills, particularly in C++
- An interest in software development, especially within embedded systems
- Able to communicate clearly in English
- Organized and efficient in handling tasks and work processes
- Detail-oriented with a structured approach to work
- Analytical and critical-thinking mindset
Most importantly, we believe diverse experiences add value to our team and organization. Therefore, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the above requirements.
As we are an international organization, it is important that you are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level.
Let’s secure people through advanced technology
We believe that different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds make us stronger. We are committed to creating a more diverse and balanced workplace that reflects the talent and perspectives around us. By creating an inclusive environment with equal opportunities to contribute, grow, and succeed, we aim to broaden our talent pool and strengthen our teams for the future.
