About the job

Do you want to contribute to research that aims to create healthy and safe workplaces? Do you have an interest in qualitative and quantitative methods, and do you work thoroughly and independently? Then you may be one of our new student assistants at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment (NFA).

Job description The research area “Ergonomic Working Environment and Musculoskeletal Health” works to strengthen a healthy, long and good working life. We emphasize that our research can be used in practice and contribute to preventive occupational health work at Danish workplaces.

We are seeking 1-2 student assistants who want to become part of an interdisciplinary research environment and support the work in several research projects. The projects deal, among other things, with how workplaces can create good conditions for health and strengthen their ability to understand and work with health in everyday life. We also examine how interventions for better physical well-being can be spread to more workplaces, and how research creates value in society.

You will mainly work with transcription and coding of interviews as well as setup and distribution of surveys in SurveyXact. In addition you can contribute to, among other things:

  • Prepare and conduct interviews.
  • Contact workplaces and participants and follow up on inquiries.
  • Process and create an overview of collected data.
  • Prepare reports, summaries and other written material.
  • Solve practical and administrative tasks in the projects.

The tasks vary with the projects’ needs. In some periods you will work with several different tasks, while in other periods you will mainly immerse yourself in for instance transcription and coding. It is therefore important that you both enjoy variation and can maintain thoroughness in tasks that require perseverance and repetition.

Become our new colleague We imagine that you

  • Are enrolled in a relevant higher education program, e.g., public health science, sports or a related program.
  • Have an interest in research in health and the working environment and a desire to work with qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Have good Danish skills and can express yourself clearly and precisely both orally and in writing, as well as read and understand English-language material.
  • Can work independently, plan your time and follow your tasks through to the end.
  • Are flexible and prepared for tasks and priorities to change along the way.
  • Can collaborate and engage in dialogue with people with different professional backgrounds.

You primarily plan your working hours yourself in dialogue with the project managers and taking into account tasks and deadlines.

Salary and employment terms The position is a student position averaging 15 hours per week. We would like you to start no earlier than 4 January 2027.

We take into account that you must balance your studies and during examination periods, where studying requires more of your time, there is flexibility.

You will be employed as a student under the OAO-S Collective Agreement, the organizational agreement for office functionaries, laboratory technicians and IT employees (HK) in state service. It is a condition of employment that you are enrolled at a higher educational institution and are an active student.

Your daily workplace is the National Research Centre for the Working Environment, Lersø Parkallé 105, 2100 Copenhagen.
