About the job

Would you like to be a study mentor on the occupational therapy education and help other occupational therapy students get through the program well? Are you currently on the 3rd, 4th or 5th semester? We are looking for four students from the occupational therapy program at Copenhagen University College of Engineering and Science (KP) who want to help enhance this task.

Why the mentoring program?

A study mentor is a current student in the occupational therapy program at KP. The study mentor acts as a professional sparring partner, making their valuable experiences available to new students and helping them get a good start on the education.

A study mentor is a student from the 3rd semester and onwards, who follows ‘their’ own group through the program from the 1st semester and up to and including the 6th semester.

All newly employed study mentors must participate in an onboarding/introduction meeting with the study mentor responsible teacher and with current study mentors. Here there will be a focus on the expectations, rules and framework surrounding the mentor program, etc.

The study mentor program should be seen as part of the overall range of initiatives for good well-being and a good study environment with the aim of retaining students in the program. The program complements other initiatives in the occupational therapy program, such as the tutor program, which has existed for many years. It was initiated based on initiatives from ESR (Ergoterapeutuddannelsens Studerendes Råd) in collaboration with the program.

Your role as a study mentor is special in that you are on eye level with your fellow students because you have recently been where they are now. You can therefore put yourself in their place and understand their reflections.

About the job

We are currently seeking study mentors with start E26 (autumn semester 2026).

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • Participation in onboarding meetings (2 lessons) for student mentors each semester, in January and August
  • Preparation of the group mentor meeting together with the other student mentors on onboarding meetings
  • Preparation of the intro meeting for the student mentor program in the 1st semester
  • Preparation of group mentor meetings in the 1st semester (only new student mentors)
  • Being available for inquiries from students in the semester to which the mentors are attached

  • Participation in status/supervision meetings (2 meetings of 45 minutes per semester) with the responsible instructors for the study mentor program
  • Collaboration with the responsible instructors for the study mentor program in occupational therapy education regarding the role as a study mentor.

About you

  • You are a student in the 3rd, 4th or 5th semester of the occupational therapy program at KP
  • You have an interest in a good study environment at KP and in the occupational therapy program
  • You can show empathy and visibility as well as engagement in your studies, academically and socially
  • You can support students in understanding the individual semesters, subjects and exams
  • You can support a coherent thread between theory and practice
  • You can support new students feeling welcome and included
  • You are familiar with your own competencies and boundaries for the role as a mentor.

We offer

You will get a relevant student job and not least

  • A diploma on your transcript when you graduate with a bachelor’s degree
  • Good opportunity to network among students and teachers at KP
  • A good addition to your CV for future jobs.

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed as a student instructor with immediate start. This is a fixed-term position of up to 3 years depending on how far you are in your studies. The workload may vary, but is estimated to be around 20-30 hours per semester.

Employment as a student instructor requires that you are enrolled as a student at a higher education institution and that you have completed the 1st semester of the education on which you are going to teach, or have a equivalent level.
