About the job

Do you have a professional bachelor's degree, and are you motivated to make a difference for families with alcohol and substance problems? Then a group of skilled and engaged colleagues are ready to welcome you to Nyropsgade Addiction Treatment. We are seeking a family-oriented addiction counselor on a full-time basis from January 1, 2027.

About Nyropsgade Addiction Treatment

At Nyropsgade Addiction Treatment we handle substance-related problems involving alcohol, cannabis and central stimulants. Treatment is voluntary and driven by the citizen's own wish for change. The treatment work is planned together with the individual citizen and qualified in a citizen-oriented, interdisciplinary team collaboration.

You will be attached to a team with a focus on citizens who have children under 25 years. Here we focus on the whole family in the treatment from when the citizen is admitted until discharge - for example in individual therapy, in our parenting group, in couple sessions and in close collaboration with Barndom i Balance, which offers child and family conversations. You will be required to file notifications to DSI Børn when we are concerned about the children's well-being, and participate in collaborations and network meetings with DSI Børn.

Your colleagues have many different professional backgrounds, and we have many overlaps in daily task solving. This means that your tasks will span a wide range. You will both have coordinating tasks and tasks of a more therapeutic nature.

In a typical workweek you will also have to

  • receive a new citizen/family and clarify the citizen's substance use, family situation and general situation
  • have individual conversations or group programs focusing on change in substance use and family well-being
  • hold network meetings with our partners in DSI Børn, psychiatry or other parts of the social administration
  • clarify with your team whether a citizen is in the target group for more intensive treatment, e.g., in 24-hour care, and carry out the practical and administrative tasks that ensure the citizen enters 24-hour care.

Who are you?

We dream of a colleague who is

  • has a professional bachelor’s degree, e.g., nurse, social worker or similar or higher education
  • has therapeutic further education, preferably within the family field
  • has prior experience from the substance area, family area or another area with citizens who have psychological or social issues
  • perhaps also experience with group programs of an educational or therapeutic nature
  • in daily life you generously share reflections on your own practice, but you also listen curiously to your colleagues' perspectives and are willing to adapt if a task requires it

A good working environment is of great importance to you, and as you are a natural team player, you do everything you can each day to promote cooperation and dialogue at your workplace.

As an employee with us you get

  • a meaningful job that really makes a difference
  • extensive competence and responsibility in task solving
  • thorough introduction and mentoring program – what you cannot do yet, we will teach you
  • good colleagues at a development-oriented workplace, which you are invited to shape
  • a everyday life with many varied tasks and a large, interdisciplinary collaboration field
  • external supervision
  • attractive working hours that are placed in daytime hours, though it is expected that you work until 18:00 one day a week (Thursday), but you have Friday off at 14:00

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week. The position is available from January 1, 2027.

You will be employed under the agreement for social workers, social consultants and/or HK agreement for administration and IT. In connection with the recruitment we will obtain a criminal record check.
