Substitute needed for a 13-year-old boy in Brylle

Would you like to help create safety and positive experiences for a 13-year-old boy? Do you have energy, empathy and a desire to make a difference for him and his family? Are you a gaming ace, or do you have the courage to learn it? Then you might be the one we’re looking for.

We are seeking a calm, stable and engaged substitute for a 13-year-old boy with Asperger’s syndrome and ADHD.

There is a substitute position of 10 hours per month, which can be placed on weekdays and weekends after closer agreement with the family. The purpose of the arrangement is to relieve the parents and create the opportunity for them to spend time with the boy’s younger sister.

Start as soon as possible.

About the boy The boy is 13 years old and has a strong interest in gaming, especially Minecraft and Pokemon. He thrives best with clear frames, predictability and adults who meet him with calmness, understanding and patience.

The task will, among other things, consist of being with him at home, creating positive relationships and starting from his interests and needs. In the beginning there will be a need to build a relationship, as it may take some time to establish this.

About you We are looking for someone who

• Has experience with or knowledge of children and young people with Asperger’s and ADHD
• Is stable, responsible and can cooperate with the parents
• Can create a safe, predictable and structured framework
• Is calm, patient and relationally capable
• Can stand firm in an appreciative and clear manner
• Has understanding of the importance of structure, preparation and recognizability
• Would preferably have an interest in gaming or be willing to meet the boy through his interests

About the job The work takes place in the family’s home in Brylle, and the hours will be on weekdays and weekends after flexible planning with the family.

Salary and employment terms Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and based on the principles of local salary formation.
