About the job

There is a little baby boom on the way in our house - therefore we are looking for maternity-leave substitutes

We are seeking 2 health care professionals in maternity-leave contracts on January 1, 2027 and February 1, 2027.

For both positions, these are event-based appointments predominantly day shifts with weekend shifts every other weekend in odd weeks.

Kaas Demensplejecenter is known as an attractive special facility and a cozy residential home, where our residents with dementia and their relatives are at the center. We have 21 fixed places and 1 respite place.

In the day shift, our focus is to have as many as possible around our residents.

Therefore we have gathered the daily assistant tasks in the house on an SSA route which is carried out in shifts by our assistants. The task of taking care of the SSA route helps raise professionalism, increase familiarity with all residents in the house, and ensure that more staff are on the floor around our residents with dementia.

We overlap with day, evening and night shifts because we believe it helps give every shift a good start and end to the workday – while also strengthening the foundation for good collaboration and professional sparring between shifts.

Our focus is on everyday life’s big and small tasks, and here we work from Tom Kitwood’s care philosophy with person-centered care.

We work from a rehabilitative approach and focus on creating a good everyday life with content and social interaction based on each resident’s resources, needs and interests.

Relationship building is in focus for us, so we place great importance on knowing our residents’ life histories so that, through knowledge, we can form relationships for the good everyday life.

We hold resident conferences where, based on each resident’s previous life, needs and resources, we investigate why our residents react and act as they do. We work with the idea that all behavior is communication.

We believe that our residents get the best life by actively participating as long as they can. This approach and culture succeed because we are good at lifting together and cooperating with residents, their relatives and the volunteers who help us in daily life.

The house is divided into 3 teams, where employees help each other across teams when necessary. It is therefore important that you are flexible and prepared for daily life to sometimes change.

Our professional documentation takes place in Nexus. If you do not already know and use the system, you must be prepared to learn it and we will of course help you get started.

We take pride in warmly welcoming new residents and partners in our house, as this provides a good foundation for further cooperation. For us it is important that our care center is known as a place where we all thrive and feel good.
