Nurse responsible for clinical quality and professional development at Vista Balboa

A position where practice-oriented development and implementation function with particular understanding of dual diagnoses, psychiatry and substance use issues is the core element.

At Vista Balboa we are seeking a nurse with a professional coordinator function who is passionate about working with people with complex psychological, social and health-related challenges. At the same time we are looking for a colleague who wants to be a driving force in developing the health-care quality across our offerings.

The position is a combination of direct citizen-facing work and a cross-cutting role with responsibility for quality, implementation and development of the health-care effort.

Vista Balboa is a rehabilitation and treatment provision for citizens with dual diagnoses, i.e., people with severe mental illnesses combined with substance misuse issues and social challenges.

About the position

As a nurse you will be part of the daily citizen-facing work at Vista Balboa, while also playing a central role in translating health-care standards, evidence-based knowledge and applicable guidelines into meaningful and usable practice in everyday life across Vista Balboa and Vista House. You will, in close collaboration with staff and management, support implementation, professional change and ongoing evaluation of health-care initiatives.

The position also provides good opportunities for professional sparring and collegial collaboration with the nurses and assistants across both workplaces, so you can together strengthen the quality and development of the health-care efforts.

Your citizen-facing tasks

You will among other things

• Oversee treatment and rehabilitation pathways for citizens with dual diagnoses.
• Have coordinator responsibility for your own citizen group together with a colleague.
• Work with relationships, recovery and rehabilitation.
• Support citizens' mental, physical and social well-being.
• Contribute to handling somatic (physical) issues.
• Coordinate with psychiatry, general practice, hospitals, substance treatment and other partners.
• Participate in activities and initiatives at our daytime activity center.
• Support the health-care effort at Vista House as needed.

Your tasks in quality and development

In collaboration with management and health-care staff you should, among other things

• Contribute to the development and implementation of health-care standards and procedures.
• Ensure focus on applicable legislation and requirements from the Danish Health Authority.
• Support work with medication management and patient safety.
• Contribute to follow-up on adverse events and learning from them.
• Quality assure health-care documentation.
• Plan and conduct training and competence development.
• Prepare and support internal and external inspections.
• Contribute to audits, quality measurements and improvement initiatives.
• Be a professional sparring partner for colleagues and management.

About you

We imagine that you

• Are a licensed nurse – preferably a specialized nurse in psychiatry
• Have experience from psychiatry, social psychiatry, residential care or the substance misuse field.
• Have an interest in or experience with quality development, implementation or patient safety.
• Would preferably have experience as a project nurse, development nurse, quality coordinator or similar.
• Can translate legislation and quality requirements into practice-oriented solutions.
• Thrive with both relational work and development tasks.
• Work in a structured and systematic way.
• Have good collaboration skills and be able to inspire with professionalism and dialogue.
• Be curious, reflective and development-oriented.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the bargaining organization. The expected salary level will be disclosed prior to any interview and depends on experience and qualifications.
