Job Description

Milano Skrædderi-Renseri-Hælebar is seeking a skilled and reliable Tailor and Customer Service Assistant to carry out garment alterations and repairs, assist customers, manage orders, and support daily shop operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Measure customers and perform garment alterations, repairs, resizing, and adjustments to hems, seams, sleeves, zippers, and buttons.
• Operate sewing machines and tailoring tools, ensuring accurate fitting and high-quality finishing.
• Welcome customers, respond to enquiries, and advise on alterations, fabrics, prices, and completion times.
• Record customer measurements, orders, and deadlines; arrange fittings and collections; and notify customers when orders are ready.
• Inspect completed garments for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace and care for sewing machines, tools, and equipment.
• Organise garments and materials, maintain order records, prioritise work, and assist with daily shop operations.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to the position.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant practical experience in tailoring, garment alterations, and clothing repairs.
• Ability to operate sewing machines and use tailoring tools.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good customer-service, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage orders, and meet deadlines.
• Reliability, flexibility, and a professional attitude.
