Mommark Handelskostskole is seeking a teacher with experience from the grocery trade. You will get a flexible job with great freedom – and the possibility to live in the school's student housing.

Be the teacher you would have liked to have

As a teacher at Mommark Handelskostskole, you will play an important role in the development of young, ambitious students in the retail sector. You should give them a solid academic foundation and support their personal development – as individuals and as part of a team.

Your teaching will primarily be focused on the grocery sector, but you may also teach students from other industries. In the longer term, teaching on our continuing education courses can also become part of the job.

The most important thing is that you want to work with young people and can create teaching that links theory and practice. You must dare to take initiative, bring your own experience into play and have ambitions for the students.

If you have both industry and teaching experience, that is an advantage. But you don't need to be able to do everything from the start – we will ensure you are well introduced to the job.

A flexible working life

The job gives you great freedom to plan and structure your working day yourself. The teaching can be concentrated in periods, while other periods allow more room for preparation, development and collaboration with colleagues and companies.

If you live far from Mommark, there is an opportunity to stay in the school's student housing during the work periods. That can provide you with a flexible daily life, where you avoid long daily travel and at the same time become a natural part of life at the school.

We imagine that you

• have experience from the grocery trade
• have experience with training or communication – ideally, but not necessarily, from the retail sector
• can plan and prioritize your tasks independently and systematically
• meet students, colleagues and customers with good humor, curiosity and energy
• find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships
• can handle direct feedback and maintain an overview when tempo is high
• enjoy that teaching sometimes fills a large part of the working day
• have a pedagogical diploma or are willing to pursue it

A school with life – also after teaching

Mommark Handelskostskole is a nationwide educational institution and a training center with 300 beds and around 30,000 overnight stays per year. We educate students and offer continuing and further education to companies from across Denmark.

We specialise in developing tailor-made education programs for chain companies and industries. This sets demands on us, but also provides the opportunity to continuously develop the teaching in close collaboration with the companies.

The many students and trainees living at the school create a special environment. The sense of community continues here after class, and the place has a homely and informal vibe. As a teacher you become an important part of this environment.
