About the job

Team Lead & software developer (Engineering Manager)

Apply for this job We are expanding leadership capacity in Copenhagen and are looking for a colleague who wants to combine software development with the responsibility of developing and sparring with our consultants, so they are ready for the best assignments.

Do you want to influence others' development and well-being while staying true to the technical? Are you motivated by making your colleagues better - not just yourself? Then read on here 👇

We are a team of 5 team leads (of which 2 team leads are in Copenhagen) to cover a growing number of consultants, and we need one more on the team. You must have a technical foundation so you can also solve development tasks for our clients, as the role is designed as a combination of leadership and working as a consultant. So there will be a portion of your time you spend as a developer, and a portion as team lead for a group of consultants.

The split will be adjusted to your experience and the team's needs, but the ambition is that you can do the technical well enough to be a credible sparring partner for the developers you lead – not only their administrative contact person.

At IT Minds we have a desire that our leaders also receive real responsibility and mandate. Therefore all team leads also have responsibility for parts of our PAC (people & culture) tasks. This means that you are involved in setting the framework for how we work with competency development, employer branding and the like. In short, this job is a versatile leadership role where you are given mandate, while you also work as a consultant with our clients to maintain connection to the technical.

Your tasks

As a team lead, your main responsibility is to ensure that everyone on your team is ready to be sold and performs well with our clients. This means, among other things, that you:

  • Continuously lead and develop your own team of software developers.
  • Collaborate with Sales to ensure matching of consultants to assignments.
  • Collect feedback from clients and use it to develop your consultants' skills.
  • Help promote the culture at IT Minds to create a good working environment and motivation

In the work with the PAC tasks you will get

  • Responsibility for initiatives related to employee well-being, competency development and the like.
  • You have influence over how the area should be run, and where you see the greatest potential
  • Sparring and inputs from colleagues, so you are equipped for the task

Besides the team lead tasks, it is expected that you will also work on tasks for our clients. This means that:

  • You work as a software consultant on projects that match your motivation and professional level.
  • You are in close dialogue with our clients and help choose the right technology for the given task.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Have a solid technical background as a developer and can use it to understand and spar with your team.
  • Are motivated by developing other people – not just code.
  • Have formal leadership experience.
  • Are good at building trust and thrive with both structure and dialogue.
  • You have gone ahead with applying AI in your development process, so you can distinguish good from poor use
  • Takes ownership and makes things happen, without waiting to be asked.
  • Are comfortable navigating between professional sparring, people management and staffing dialogue with Sales.
  • Speak Danish as a native language.

Become part of a company where freedom and responsibility go hand in hand

At IT Minds we develop tailor-made software solutions with modern technologies, making a real difference for our clients. Our culture is characterized by freedom under responsibility, flexibility and an informal tone. We believe that people perform best when they have room to take responsibility, be part of a community, but at the same time be themselves.

As one of your future colleagues describes it: "It is rare to find a role where you get to keep the technical side and at the same time influence whether your colleagues thrive and develop. Here you get both."

And who are we?

  • At IT Minds we are a good mix of experienced and newly graduated colleagues distributed across Aarhus and Copenhagen.
  • The community is central, and we have many professional and social events.
  • The working hours are flexible and can be adjusted to family life and leisure.
  • We focus on high professional standards and quality with modern technologies.
  • Our software solves business problems and minimizes costs.
