Technical Lead / Mechanical Engineer wanted for the design team in Kalundborg

We are seeking a mechanical engineer who, with strong technical competencies, a good overview and natural leadership qualities, is ready to take over the responsibility for our construction department, as our current head of the department takes on new responsibilities in the company.

Today the department consists of a technical leader and a designer, but we have ambitions to grow.

Therefore we are looking for a leader who both thrives on working hands-on with construction and project execution, and who can develop employees, create structure and help build the department’s future and collaborate with colleagues in our group-affiliated companies.

Your primary tasks

• Technical mentoring and leadership of the construction department.
• Resource planning and staffing.
• Design and construction of mechanical projects.
• Preparation of 3D files and 2D drawings.
• Measuring components and equipment at our own workshop and at our customers’ sites.
• Calculation of machine components / constructions.
• Specification of materials and surface treatment.
• Mobile 3D scanning and subsequent software processing.
• Preparation of risk assessments and manuals for CE marking.
• Order follow-up.

We expect that you

• Have an education as a mechanical engineer (e.g., Diploma Engineer in Mechanical Engineering).
• Have experience with 3D CAD and strength calculation / FEM simulation.
• Have experience with personnel or team leadership.
• Communicate fluently in Danish and English in writing and speech.
• Are digitally strong and quickly get to grips with new systems and programs.
• Thrive with customer contact and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Work in a structured way and maintain an overview in a busy daily routine.
• Appreciate short decision-making paths and versatile tasks.

AVOS is located in Kalundborg and is the group's company for mechanical solutions for a wide range of industrial and utility customers. The production processes are project-based, which requires a coordinated and flexible approach in both construction and manufacturing to achieve success in project deliveries. The company aims to deliver high-quality solutions and continuously innovate the approach to project-based production.

Salary level is according to qualification and experience. The position is full-time (37 hours per week).
