Technical purchaser for one of the world's leading and most innovative manufacturers of ergonomic handling equipment

On behalf of Logitrans in Ribe we are seeking for a newly created position, an experienced technical buyer. As the company has a large influx of new customers and exciting tasks, we are looking for a profile that wants to take responsibility for sourcing, supplier development and optimization of purchasing of the technical components that are part of the company’s products.

About the position

As a technical buyer you will be a central part of the Supply Chain team of five people. You will have close cooperation with the other buyer and the purchasing assistant, and there are good opportunities for sparring in daily work. You will also have close collaboration with the 2 buyers who sit at Logitrans’ factory in China.

A substantial part of the job will be to develop and optimize Logitrans’ supplier structure. An important focus will be to consolidate and optimize the supplier base so fewer and larger suppliers can create better prices, terms, quality and collaboration.

Your tasks will include, among others

• sourcing and identification of new suppliers in Denmark, Europe and China
• purchasing and supplier development within steel, hydraulics, electrical components and other technical components
• negotiating prices, payment terms, delivery times and other trade terms
• optimization and consolidation of the supplier portfolio and focus on and dual sourcing
• supplier evaluation, performance tracking and continuous improvements

You should expect around 30 travel days per year, mainly in connection with supplier visits, sourcing and development of existing and new supplier relationships.

About you

You have experience with technical purchasing and a good understanding of the components and materials that go into industrial production. It is important that you can talk to suppliers on a technical level and at the same time have an eye for commercial possibilities.

Your background can be diverse. For example you can come from a technical purchasing function in a manufacturing company, from sourcing or supply chain, or have a technical background combined with experience in purchasing.

The most important is that you are technically curious and can read production drawings of, for example, metal parts, and have an interest in strategic purchasing and long-term collaboration with suppliers and partners.

We expect that you

• have experience with technical purchasing and preferably with steel, hydraulics and electrical components
• have experience with sourcing and suppliers in Denmark and internationally
• are a strong negotiator, with a focus on prices and trade terms
• work in a structured and independent manner and at the same time thrive with close sparring in the team
• have good communication skills and are familiar with the Office suite and IT in general
• proficient in English and Danish at a high level in writing and speaking.

As a person you are curious, commercially oriented and persistent. You are motivated by finding better solutions and you also understand that good long-term supplier relationships are created through clear requirements and professional collaboration.

The company expects that you have or are willing to relocate within a radius of 45 minutes driving distance from Ribe.
