Test and quality control technician for major construction projects

We have won a major civil works contract for the expansion of Route 15 between Ringkøbing and Herning and therefore are seeking an employee who can handle a substantial part of the ongoing inspection, sampling and documentation on our construction projects.

The position is not project-limited, and you will also have tasks on the company’s other contracts.

The position is as a rule full-time, but other arrangements can be made.

THE JOB

A large part of the work takes place on site, where you, in close cooperation with the construction management and the person responsible for quality, must ensure that the necessary tests and controls are performed in the right places, at the right times and to the required extent.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Execution of compaction controls with Troxler
• Monitoring that the required compaction values are observed
• Any bearing capacity measurements
• Sampling of material for, for example, sieve analyses, reference values and other laboratory analyses
• Coordination with the construction management and the person responsible for quality on which samples to take, where to take them and how often
• Recording of test locations, measurement results and analysis results
• Entering results into the respective systems and platforms
• Ongoing overview of where tests have been performed, how many tests have been taken, and which results have been obtained
• Follow-up on missing tests and results that do not meet the required values
• Checking layer thicknesses and constructions where relevant
• Cooperation with foremen, machine operators, project managers and the person responsible for quality.

An important part of the job is thus both to perform the tests in the field and keep the documentation afterwards.

You do not need to know all requirements by heart yourself. The task is in collaboration with the project organization to ensure that the requirements are translated into the necessary control and documentation in practice.

YOUR PROFILE

We imagine that you are practically oriented, structured and eager to be on the construction site for a large part of the workday.

You do not need to have a specific education. Experience from the construction industry, laboratory work, sampling or quality control is an advantage, but the most important thing is that you work carefully and are willing to take responsibility for ensuring that samples and results are handled correctly.

If you already have experience with Troxler, compaction control, material control or sampling, this is a clear advantage. If you have the right practical approach but lack experience with the measuring equipment itself, training may be possible.
