About the job

Dreaming of meaningful clinical work with opportunities for individually tailored patient interventions, diverse tasks and flexible work organization? – then here is a unique opportunity, as we are expanding with yet another specialized psychologist position.

Your primary work will - in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team - oversee outpatient treatment courses for patients primarily based in Faxe and Stevns. In collaboration with a psychiatrist you will be responsible for the course management, and will have the overall professional and treatment responsibility in the team.

We treat patients with a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders including dual diagnoses that require a multidisciplinary psychiatric approach. We pull together and focus on letting our mono-disciplinary competencies support and enrich one another.

As a special psychologist in the District Psychiatry Köge you can expect variety in tasks and great influence on your work. As a starting point the F-ACT tasks include among other things:

  • Initial assessments.
  • Assessment within all diagnostic categories.
  • Psychoeducation.
  • Psychological testing.
  • Cross-sector collaboration.
  • Collaboration with relatives.
  • Possibility to conduct group and individual therapy.
  • Participation in multidisciplinary meetings and treatment conferences.

In addition the position includes a number of exciting tasks regarding quality assurance and supporting the professional level internally, e.g.:

  • Kognitiv and social-cognitive screening of patients with incident schizophrenia.
  • Projective testing.
  • Internal teaching in therapeutic techniques, psychopathology or similar.
  • Supervision and guidance of younger psychologists.
  • Possibly supervision of multidisciplinary staff.

We work with high professionalism, integrity and the patient’s recovery at the center. This is supported daily via diagnostic clinics locally, frequent training for all staff, local psychologist meetings as well as across in Psychiatry East, team days twice a year, joint theme day for the entire district psychiatry twice a year, fixed supervision of one’s own work, the possibility to participate in Psychiatry East’s overall training for doctors and psychologists twice a week. etc.

…and so District Psychiatry Köge is close to the S-train line and regional trains and has nearby motorway connections. You also, together with your manager, have the opportunity to plan working hours and calendar in the best possible harmony with private life and/or special wishes and needs.

In District Psychiatry Köge we focus on a good, safe working environment and have active efforts in this regard. In addition we cultivate the social community, e.g. at summer parties and local Christmas lunches.

We know that a good start is important and you will receive a thorough introduction to the F-ACT work and the rest of Psychiatry East, as well as the opportunity to shadow a specialist psychologist colleague at the beginning of your employment. All new hires are followed with a thorough onboarding process during the first year of employment.

About F-ACT and District Psychiatry Köge

In recent years we have introduced F-ACT teams in the treatment work in District Psychiatry Köge and we are now well underway. As a special psychologist with us you will therefore participate in the continued development of the work in an F-ACT team. F-ACT is a method that has a flexible approach to patients and offers intensive treatment in periods where it is needed, and it is scaled down to individually tailored standard treatment when the patient is better again.

In District Psychiatry Köge we are distributed in three F-ACT teams covering respectively the municipalities of Køge, Greve-Solrød and Faxe-Stevns, supported by a secretarial group and under a common duo leadership of the leading special psychologist and chief nurse. You will become part of a local psychology group consisting of a total of six psychologists, including 3 special psychologists.

In addition the staff group includes doctors/psychiatrists, nurses, social and health care assistants, occupational therapists, pedagogues, social workers and peer workers.

With us we also cover the regional functions for ADHD and for assessment of pervasive developmental disorders with severe comorbidity.

We frequently have doctors, nurses, psychologists in practice/clinical placements and we are an educational site for upcoming psychiatrists and specialist psychologists.

About Psychiatry East

You will become part of the other psychology group in Psychiatry East, which currently comprises more than 30 specialist psychologists/psychologists.

Psychiatry East consists, in addition to District Psychiatry Köge, of five inpatient wards, Psychiatric Emergency Reception, District Psychiatry in Roskilde, District Psychiatry for the elderly, Psychiatric Clinic (which handles treatment packages for non-psychotic disorders) as well as Clinic for Suicide Prevention. In Psychiatry East there are regional functions for anxiety, ADHD, pervasive developmental disorders, personality disorders, schizophrenia and other psychoses as well as dual diagnoses distributed across different units.

Psychiatry East is a university hospital that is research-active, among other areas, in personality disorders, early psychosis and recovery. We have our own research unit with two professors attached.
