About the position
The Management Secretariat is one of four departments in the ministry, handling department-level tasks within the areas of housing, client roles, building authority, infrastructure, outer districts and emergency services. The ministry has approximately 50 employees. The Management Secretariat consists of 7 staff and functions as a staff/central support function.
The department's tasks include, among other things, coordination and processing of inquiries to the department and to the Naalakkersuisut, handling cases to and from the Naalakkersuisut and the Inatsisartut, mail, hearings, translations, quality assurance, archiving, as well as project management and development tasks.
In addition, planning and conducting workshops, presentations and peer training on internal instructions, guidelines, work procedures and manuals e.g. related to case processing, procurement, service, other internal activities, etc. The department also has responsibility for operation, coordination and further development of the department's central IT systems and digital workflows, including user support, system administration and implementation of new digital solutions.
We are looking for an executive officer/project manager/coordinator who – in collaboration with the department's staff and the department's management – will contribute to maintaining a central function in the coordination of the department's matters and servicing of the Naalakkersuisut. You will be an indispensable colleague in the team, and your tasks will be planned based on the competencies, experiences and interests you bring with you. It is therefore not expected that the individual employee will handle all described tasks; the tasks will be distributed among the department's staff to ensure a sensible and balanced division of labor.
We expect that you have most of the following qualifications and competencies

- That you master Greenlandic and Danish at a high level in both written and spoken form, and English at least at a conversational level.

- That you show flexibility, also in pressured situations.
- That you are eager to learn, but can also try things yourself and learn.
- That you are approachable and have good collaboration skills.
- That you have knowledge of Greenlandic culture and society.
We offer
- A job close to the political decision-making process.
- An informal working environment with short lines of command and engaged colleagues who take pride in maintaining a high professional standard.
- An evolving/varied working environment.
- Personal and professional development.
