About the position

The purpose of the relief is to give both the boy and his family relief on weekdays or weekends by agreement.

The scope of the relief is on average 5 hours per week.

Your primary task as a relief worker will be to provide the boy with 1 to 1 adult contact and support, calm hands and joyful moments.

There is a sweet, welcoming and very energetic boy who loves talking about the games he plays on PS and what else is going on in his daily life. He is currently very interested in Minecraft, Mario, Spiderman and superheroes. He loves going to the cinema, jumping on a trampoline and also likes being creative.

The boy is challenged by autism and ADHD and accordingly needs clear and patient adults around him. It is important that you are good at setting frames for both activity and breaks.

The relief can take place both in and outside the home. It is a big advantage if you have a driving license, as the family currently needs help to take the boy to and from swimming.

The boy has two older siblings, and a mother and father, whom he lives with. They live in a house in southern Aarhus, with good conditions for both indoor and outdoor play e.g. campfire activities.

Employment

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

The task is paid by Skanderborg Municipality, and the primary employers will be the family themselves. A child- and criminal background check will be obtained prior to employment.

Salary is regulated in accordance with current rates issued by the Association of Municipalities

Salary is paid with hourly wage monthly in arrears.

From Skanderborg Municipality there is no reimbursement of any chosen expenses related to the relief; these are to be borne by the boy's parents.

If there is a need to change working hours, this must be applied for separately by the parents by contacting Skanderborg Municipality's Special Advisory.

To the extent the approved time increases, decreases or disappears, you are obliged to accept changes in the agreed working time without further notice.

The relief is covered by the Sick Pay Act's rules on unemployment benefits during illness and maternity leave.
