Tjørnegård School's SFO and lower primary are seeking an educator for the community of the school and SFO

Are you keen on working with children in both school and after-school care (SFO) – and are you passionate about well-being, communities and relational pedagogy? Then we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for an engaged and present pedagogue for the community between the school and the SFO. The position is full-time at 37 hours per week with appointment on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible

About us

Tjørnegårdskolen is a two-track public school in Roskilde West. In the SFO we have good facilities and nice outdoor areas with space for play, movement and community.

About the position You will become part of the community around the children in both the lower school (indskoling) and the SFO. Working hours fall within the opening hours of the school and SFO, and there will be approximately 8 lessons per week during school time.

In the lower school, teachers and pedagogues collaborate closely on the children's learning, well-being and development. In the SFO we work to create healthy, happy and inclusive children who experience themselves as an important part of the community.

Relational pedagogy is a central focus for us. We are concerned with how secure relationships create development, well-being and learning – with inspiration from, among others, John Bowlby’s attachment theory and Daniel Stern’s focus on interaction, presence and the child’s experience of themselves in the relation.

We are looking for you who

• are a trained pedagogue
• want to be an active part of the community between the school and the SFO
• are clear, present and strong in relational skills
• can create safe environments for the children
• have an appreciative approach to children, parents and colleagues
• can support children’s participation in communities
• are creative and can initiate activities
• want to work closely with teachers, pedagogues and other colleagues

Practical information The position is full-time with appointment on 1 January 2027

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement.

In connection with the employment, we obtain a child and criminal record check as well as references.
