Two internship positions in Neurology, AUH

We are seeking two doctors for introductory positions in Neurology, Aarhus University Hospital, to be filled by January 1, 2027 (I-nr.: 6620-15-20-i-03 + 6620-15-20-i-04) or by agreement.

Whether you can say yes to all three or just one - do not hesitate to apply. Whether you are into acute or chronic courses, there will be a place for you in neurology. In addition to a focus on clinical work with history, neurological examination and paraclinics, there is a rich research environment just waiting to invite a neurologist in spe inside.

With us you will be

• skilled in treating and evaluating the most common acute neurological conditions including seizures and stroke
• part of an interdisciplinary team where everyone shows great commitment and professionalism
• systematically trained in neurological examination techniques and lumbar puncture.

The department has a large flow of patients, both acute, elective and outpatient. We cover subspecialties in neurovascular diseases, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, movement disorders, dementia, pain conditions, headache and sleep.

As an junior doctor you will handle on-call (two-shift on-call presence), ward rounds and outpatient work. Ward rounds and outpatient work are supervised by a specialist. You will start night shifts after one month.

We expect that you

• have completed a KBU program before employment
• are good at collaborating across professional groups and contribute to a good working environment
• have the willingness to learn.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child‑care background check and a satisfactory authorization.

The position is aimed at doctors who have not previously completed an introductory specialty training in neurology.

Applicants who require an exemption must have obtained the exemption before the employment date. Any personal exemption should be attached to the application.

The position is, in principle, a full-time position.
