About the job

The regional patient safety team is looking for two new colleagues with a health care background

We are passionate about patient safety, and we work at regional and cross-regional levels to ensure good and coherent patient pathways across sectors. We love to translate learning into action so that knowledge sharing is secured broadly in the organisation. And we know that the foundation for good (co)work is structure, systematicity and strong competences – both professionally and relationally.

If you can see yourself in this, it may be you who should be one of our two new colleagues in the regional patient safety team.

Common to the two positions we dream of having good colleagues with the following competencies and experiences:

  • A health professional background combined with relevant academic postgraduate study at master’s or candidate level, preferably public health science
  • Experience from clinical work in hospital and/or practice settings
  • Experience from patient safety work and other quality work – preferably as an improvement facilitator/agent
  • Organisational knowledge of the health care system
  • Bureaucratic aptitude and understanding of working in a politically led system
  • Technical flair regarding the use of various systems, e.g., DPSD, e-Dok and ESDH
  • The ability to work in a structured way and both maintain an overview and at the same time have an eye for detail
  • Desire and ability to handle important and ongoing operational tasks – and see development opportunities within these
  • That you thrive with both independent work and collaboration with colleagues
  • That you can handle tempo changes and unplanned tasks that ’clear the deck’
  • That you communicate clearly and unambiguously both in writing and orally targeted at the recipient
  • And that you see mutual sparring and feedback as developmental and necessary

About our approach to task solving and the tasks we need to address

The regional patient safety team is anchored in Office 1 in the Quality Directorate, where we generally want to solve tasks across teams and professional fields. We value lifting as a team and thereby ensure robustness and agility in handling tasks – so that we can also tackle urgent or larger tasks with the best possible outcome. The task portfolio reflects this, and we have therefore not fixed the exact profile and content of the individual positions.

It is important for us to get the right colleagues into the team and the office, and the concrete task profile will therefore be determined depending on the individual candidates and the development of the tasks.

Common to both positions is, however, the operation of the UTH database, which must be handled daily in a fixed rotation with colleagues. The task for the practice area is to process the incoming reported unintended events and disseminate learning from them. And in the hospital area you will triage cases received at the regional level to the hospitals and advise and guide case processors in case of questions.

There will be the following tasks to be solved

  • The secure daily operation of the e-Dok guidelines at regional level; including as editor, quality and revision responsible. This task is carried out in a team in collaboration with two colleagues, and you will daily have contact with many employees and managers in the region
  • An exciting operational task with many partners regarding progress, updating and maintenance of regional clinical pathways descriptions between hospital and general practice
  • Secretariat support /go-to person with responsibility for case clarification, agenda production, minutes function and follow-up on decisions for various meeting bodies, including the PKO coordination group and the cross-sector quality network for psychiatry
  • Handling of inquiries from e.g. politicians, citizens and other authorities, as well as preparation of notes, drafts etc.
  • Ad hoc- and longer-term tasks depending on competences and the organisation’s needs , for example administrative and professional support for complicated and/or patient-critical cases at regional level.

A little more about us

The regional patient safety team was established on 1 January 2026 with reference to Office Manager Maria Benner, and consists of four – soon six – quality consultants/risk managers from practice and hospital settings, working at regional, cross-regional and cross-sectorial levels. We have, with the shared organisation, strengthened sparring, knowledge sharing and the possibility to quickly assemble relevant competences across sectors for concrete patient safety challenges.

Currently we are very focused on how the patient safety perspective can be integrated earlier in the development of new workflows, guidelines and IT solutions, and how cross-sector collaboration can be strengthened further.

All members of the regional patient safety team work with tasks that are not narrowly related to patient safety, and each person is thus involved in several task teams across both Office 1 and the Quality Directorate.

The Quality Directorate includes stabs-, research- and development functions and works on developing and supporting quality and research across the entire region. We have a strong professional and social community with helpful and engaged colleagues. And we maintain focus on development, collaboration, knowledge sharing and well-being. Together, we ensure a proper and honest tone, a proactive approach to task-solving and a good mood.

Application deadline is Thursday 29 October 2026.

If you are invited for an interview, you will be notified in the latter part of week 45 – 2026.

Interviews will be held Thursday 12 November 2026 in the Regional House Viborg.
