Middelfart Municipality is looking for another Educational Coordinator for the social and health professions education and the pedagogical assistant education

In Middelfart Municipality we have big ambitions for the education area.

We want to create high-quality educational pathways and strong learning environments where students thrive, develop academically, and are eager to become part of the welfare of the future.

And the ambitions are growing. Therefore we are strengthening our education department in the Social and Health Administration with another Educational Coordinator, who together with our current Educational Coordinator for SOSU and PA education will play a central role in the students’ educational journey.

You will share the delegated personnel leadership of our students and follow them through the entire educational path – from day one until they are strong and ready for working life.

A central role with responsibility for the students’ educational journey

We are looking for a colleague who is motivated to work at the intersection of education, delegated leadership responsibility and development. A person who can create structure and direction in complex processes, who thrives in relational work, and who has the courage to both support, challenge and make decisions when the situation requires it.

As Educational Coordinator you will become part of a close partnership with our current Educational Coordinator in the SOSU and PA area. Together you will play a key role in supporting the students’ educational journey and in attracting, developing and retaining the workforce of the future.

At the same time you will be part of our overall education department, where you work closely with the Educational Coordinator for nursing students. Across the education areas you share knowledge, develop learning environments and lift joint initiatives where it makes sense.

You will also have close collaboration with managers, mentors, guides, schools and training sites.

You must be able to participate in inspiring and developing conversations but also handle situations where challenges, conflicts or employment-law decisions arise.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Support of students throughout the entire educational pathway in both SOSU and PA programs
• Professional coordination and sparring with mentors, training sites and the Educational Coordinator for nursing students
• Recruitment, branding and attracting new students
• Wellbeing, development and retention initiatives
• Systematic and continuous work on preventing absence for our students
• Handling of student cases
• Coordination and collaboration with the Social and Health School Fyn, the municipalities of Funen, the region and other educational actors
• Professional coordination and sparring with guides and training sites
• Development of learning environments, learning materials and educational initiatives
• Contribution to the continued professionalization and development of the municipality’s education area

Who are you?

We imagine that you have experience with education, learning, leadership or development within the welfare or vocational education area.

You may come from practice, but you can also bring a more education-theoretical, pedagogical or organizational background. The most important thing is that you understand the importance of good learning pathways – both from the student’s and the workplace perspective. But also that you can translate ideas into action in collaboration with many different actors.

It will be an advantage if you have a health-professional or pedagogical education and familiarity with the social and health or PA area, but we are also curious about candidates who can bring new perspectives into our work.

About us

We attract and educate students within the welfare area. Every year we have about 180 students in school and training in between hands. At the same time we work purposefully with quality in education through strong learning environments, simulation, mentors and close collaboration with educational institutions.

In Middelfart Municipality the education area is a highly prioritized topic, and we have big ambitions. We are building on a strong foundation and in the coming years will raise the quality of our educational pathways even more.

Among other things, we will strengthen practice teaching and professional environments, work purposefully with the students’ wellbeing and completion, and become even better at attracting and retaining future colleagues in the welfare area.

We also expect you to bring your professionalism, ideas and perspectives into play together with students, colleagues, workplaces and educational institutions.

Employment terms

The position is a permanent full-time role of 37 hours per week.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the Ny Løn principles.

Since the job involves driving, we expect you to have your own car available and to be prepared to use it in connection with work.

Any travel allowance is paid according to the applicable rules.

We expect you to be able to start on Tuesday, January 5, 2027.
