Uggerly Installation – Head of Department – Plumbing

Do you thrive on taking responsibility, providing direction and ensuring that employees and operations function as a unified whole? As Department Manager at Uggerly Installation in Ringsted you will have overall responsibility for the daily management and operations of the entire plumbing (VVS) department, which includes both salaried staff responsible for planning and coordination as well as the department's VVS installers.

You will play a central role in ensuring a well-functioning department with a focus on efficient operations, high professional quality, satisfied customers and good results. You must be able to create structure, prioritise resources and ensure good collaboration across the department's functions.

• Ensure clear direction, structure and follow-up for both salaried staff and VVS installers.
• Motivate, develop and retain employees and ensure clear expectations, responsibilities and collaboration.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, prioritisation and coordination of the department's total tasks.
• Follow up on the department's finances, resource consumption and efficiency within the defined area of responsibility.
• Ensure high professional quality, adherence to agreements and a professional handling of customers and partners.
• Create coherence between planning, administration and execution and ensure good collaboration with the other departments in Uggerly Installation.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and ensure ongoing development of workflows, cooperation and operations.

To succeed in the role you have solid management experience and have previously been responsible for the daily operation of a department, a business area or a similar entity. You are used to taking responsibility for employees, creating overview and ensuring that both people and tasks work effectively together.

You have a good business understanding and experience in prioritising resources, following up on results and handling operational challenges. Experience in leading both salaried staff and skilled workers will be a clear advantage.

You also have solid knowledge of the industry and an understanding of the professional and operational factors that shape an installation company. A VVS installer education and experience in a similar position would be relevant, as would experience with financial follow-up, planning and customer handling.

As a person you have natural authority and presence and can set direction for and follow up with the installers on construction sites. You enjoy taking responsibility for the workforce and can both set requirements and build good relationships with the employees. You are robust, straightforward in your communication and have strong communication skills both internally and externally. At the same time you are structured, persistent, outgoing and customer-minded.

You are proficient in Danish in writing and speech, and you live within a reasonable driving distance to the Ringsted department.
