About the job

Are you an energetic and positive person who enjoys working across disciplines and with many different tasks? Do you easily switch between an overview and detail? Are you passionate about working in an agency where nature is in the foreground? Then the position of unit secretary at Nature Agency North Zealand might be something for you.

Nature Agency North Zealand is looking for a unit secretary who can join our secretariat team and help solve the administrative tasks tied to the unit and the management of state lands in North Zealand.

Tasks and organization

Nature Agency North Zealand manages the state’s forest and nature areas in North Zealand – a total of about 25,000 hectares. The areas include, among others, the large areas in Gribskov and Tisvilde Hegn, Esrum Lake and Arresø. The management has a special focus on nature and outdoor life in a densely populated part of Denmark. The unit office is beautifully located in the middle of Gribskov. Here you will have your daily workplace. The unit employs about 45 staff, half of whom work at the unit office.

Your tasks

As a secretary in a large unit like ours, the tasks are varied, but it is central that you function as an important and unifying service function for employees, customers, and users – including answering the phone and mail. Among the tasks are also handling incoming and outgoing invoices, travel reimbursements, and administration of rental agreements.

Finally, the unit secretary handles purchasing and procurement contracts and carries out ongoing practical tasks and service around the unit office, including its appearance and internal life. A fun and varied workday where you should enjoy switching between meeting people and delving into the tasks. All of this takes place in close collaboration with your relatively newly hired secretary colleague.

Your profile

About you we expect that you

  • Have an administrative education and several years of experience in (preferably public) administration, including a flair for numbers, finance, and accounting.
  • Are proactive and take responsibility for the whole, but also enjoy independent case processing.
  • Are service-minded, structured, solution-oriented, and efficient.
  • Are communicative as well as clear and precise in writing and speech.
  • Are an experienced user of the Office suite and good at using IT in task solving. If you are perhaps the type that a colleague comes to for help setting up their mobile, that would be an advantage.
  • As a person, you are flexible and helpful – even when things are busy.

We offer

We offer an exciting position in a large well-functioning unit with dedicated and professionally skilled colleagues. You will have significant autonomous responsibility for a wide range of tasks and, by virtue of your role, a good insight into the unit’s overall activities. As a workplace we actively take responsibility for the agency’s goals and strategies. We solve our tasks efficiently and on time. We believe we have a very good workplace, with a dialogue-based and flat structure, where we have a direct, respectful tone of voice and at the same time ensure there is room for good laughter.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable central collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations (OAO) - The Public Sector, and the corresponding agreement for Office Clerks, Lab Technicians, and IT staff (HK).

The employment area is the Ministry of Nature and Animal Welfare with its associated institutions.

The duty station is Nature Agency North Zealand, Gillelejevej 2B, 3230 Græsted. Note, there are no public transport options to the workplace.

The position is permanent, and the working hours are 37 hours per week. Expected start date is January 1, 2027.

We will conduct interviews on November 5, 2026 at Nature Agency North Zealand’s unit office at the above address.
