Urology seeks two physicians for unclassified 1-year positions, AUH

Urological Surgery seeks two doctors for unclassified 1-year positions with starts on respectively 1 November 2026 and 1 February 2027.

Urological Surgery is a large and dynamic department with two professors, 36 specialists and currently 25 training doctors. The department has extensive surgical activity with operating sessions on the adult operating theatre, the paediatric operating theatre and in the day surgery department. In addition we have a large outpatient activity at AUH as well as daily urological clinics at Regionshospitalet Randers and Regionshospitalet Horsens. The clinics are managed by both specialists and trainee doctors.

In addition to basic urology, Urological Surgery handles a number of highly specialised functions including among others cancer surgery, paediatric urology, advanced urology and kidney transplant surgery. The department also participates in the Clinic for Pelvic Floor Disorders.

We are a department with high professionalism and a strong focus on education. As a doctor with us, in addition to on-call duties and assisting in operations, you will have the opportunity to work independently under close supervision in our outpatient functions. The work will include, among other things, flexible cystoscopies, minor surgical procedures and evaluation of voiding disorders. We place emphasis on a good professional and collegial environment, where there are good opportunities to develop both clinical and surgical competences.

Applicants with urological experience will be prioritised. There is an on-site presence duty split into two parts on weekdays and weekends. The appointment takes place with service at Region Midtjylland, Aarhus University Hospital, Palle Juul-Jensens Boulevard 99, 8200 Aarhus N, with on-call service in Randers and Horsens.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The employment is conditional on a satisfactory child-safety (police) certificate and a satisfactory authorization.
