Would you like to work as a doctor in Greenland and make a real difference for an entire town?

Queen Margrethe's Health Center in Paamiut is seeking doctors for short and long-term locum positions in 2027, preferably with a minimum duration of 6 weeks. The appointment can possibly be combined with work at Queen Ingrid's Health Center (QIHC) in Nuuk.

There is the possibility of telemedical review of inpatients with specialists from Queen Ingrid's Hospital (DIH). In addition, there is close collaboration with both DIH and Queen Ingrid's Health Center (DIS). Any inquiries outside normal working hours are handled jointly by the nurses in Paamiut and the doctors at DIS.

  • A non-on-call position with allowances according to the applicable collective agreement.
  • If you are called in outside normal working hours, the hours are compensated with time off afterwards.
  • Close collaboration with specialists in all specialties at DIH as well as the doctors at DIS.
  • Opportunity to develop broad clinical competencies and work independently.
  • Insight into and experience with the Greenlandic health system.

We are looking for you who

  • Thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration and have good teamwork skills.
  • Preferably have experience from general medicine or internal medicine, but this is not a requirement.
  • Has a minimum of a couple of years of clinical experience.
  • Want to work at a smaller health center as the sole physician.
  • Can work independently and take responsibility.
  • Have Danish authorization and the right to practice independently.
