About the job

Shift Planner sought for Geriatric Psychiatry, 37 hours/week

It is now possible to apply for a rarely vacant position – come and become part of a fantastic team and a wonderful workplace!

About you

Do you want to create shift plans that meet the collective agreements, the individual employee's needs and wishes, and at the same time optimize operations – then you are exactly who we are looking for.

We need you who thrives in a day-to-day with volatility as well as unforeseen and sometimes acute tasks. You must be structured and able to prioritize your tasks, and when you have started a task that you cannot solve now, you should be able to shift focus to other tasks while you wait. Additionally, you must be able to switch off from work when you come home, and accept that the “puzzle” does not always fit exactly the way you want it. A sense for creative solutions is a clear advantage.

As a person you should dare to reach out to staff inside the departments – even when you want them to work longer one day or take an extra shift in the week.

The practical

The position is 37 hours/week, and you must be able to work Monday to Friday. There will be opportunities for home-working days when the long-term shift plan is being created, or if there are other tasks that require quiet and concentration. This must always be agreed separately with the senior nursing directors.

We imagine that you will start at 7:30-15:30 every day. That way you have the opportunity to meet evening and night shifts if you need to talk to them regarding the plan. If you have other wishes, we are open to considering whether the wishes align with the needs of task completion.

The organization of the position and the tasks

The role of shift planner is well organized, and there is a good structure in relation to relevant collaborators and tasks. You will take over a position that is already well-structured and thoroughly developed, but we are open to new ideas and creativity.

As a shift planner in Geriatric Psychiatry, your main task will be to create shift plans for the two ward sections and the outpatient clinic where several employees work across, and where staff work in several different roles. In addition, there is a larger task in the more acute duties, such as updating the daily duty roster so that it aligns with resource needs and work tasks.

We are looking for a shift planner who

  • Is health care or office trained
  • Experience with Optima is desirable
  • Familiar with collective agreements, working time planning mm.
  • Service-minded, who can take care of routine office tasks such as telephone reception, various writing tasks, archiving.
  • Preferably with knowledge of payroll reporting and redressings
  • Is responsible and can work in a structured way – with a very good eye for detail
  • Likes to be adaptable and that some days tasks must be prioritized
  • Open and accommodating
  • Great ability to collaborate with many different interfaces
  • Resilient and flexible
  • Creative

We can offer

  • A very varied job with many different tasks
  • Introduction with training
  • A busy, but interesting workplace.
  • A good working environment
  • Opportunity for remote work on specially selected tasks e.g. shift planning

An insight into your tasks will include

  • Shift planning for the two ward sections N4A and N4D as well as outpatient nurses.
  • Payroll reporting as well as post-adjustments
  • Acute tasks – e.g. finding replacement staff, contacting own staff, fixed substitutes and internal temporary staff.
  • Weekly meetings with the senior nursing directors

You will in this position report to the Chief Nurse, but as we currently have not employed a new Chief Nurse, you are welcome to contact the Senior Nursing Director Camilla Marie Cederkvist on telephone: 30713467

Your closest collaborators and colleagues will be the two Senior Nursing Directors and the department leadership secretary with whom you will also share an office
